    Correct.  Rubio has suspended all his active campaigning.  If no Republican wins the minimum number of Delegates there will be a "Brokered Convention" at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.  This means old fashioned political "Horse Trading" where Delegates will trade their votes in return for getting their issues onto the official 2016 Republican Platform.

    in add, I think it will be not good for hillary to win quickly because she will lost momentum and media interest  as it seems republicans will go on long way fight and so on media interest will stay as well

    I think her campains side calculate to win at the end but not too early it will be not good for her

    imagine she won democrate already? what happened after? waiting republicans?  it is like resting on sports   little rest is good but not long rest...

    Carson endorsed Trump he doesn't have many delegates but the support for Trump has benefits in the second ballot.

    Republican Primaries:

    AZ - Winner takes all 58 Delegates.

    UT - Proportionally awarded 40 Delegates unless a candidate wins
    50% or higher vote total and then the winner takes all 40 Delegates.

    Thanks for the update.  It's good to see truth, reality and numbers some times rather than the usual wacko nutjob conspiracy theories and the angry emotional ramblings and rantings that seem to clutter this forum

    Goose, please post the democratic totals for pledged delegates only. No need to include super delegates as they will certainly change over time

    Goose, why do you include the super delegates? They are not bound and if you're paying attention to what is happening in Washington, that count will certainly change.

    Hillary 1267
    Bernie 1037

    Is the real number, to stay true to the thread title of Exact Delegate Count

    Trump could lose the South Carolina delegates.  This makes any delegate count and betting strategy more uncertain.

    Democrats have "super delegates" and Republicans have "unbound delegates".  Should we also not count the Republican unbound delegates if we're not going to count the Democrats super delegates?  This makes it more confusing IMHO.

    DELEGATES UP TODAY
    ===================
    TRUMP HAS 743 and he needs 494 to win the nomination
    CRUZ HAS 517 and he needs 720 to win the nomination.
    =============================
    REMAINING DELEGATES ARE 739
    ============================

    It is only possible now for Trump to get 494 out of 739. Cruz will NOT get 720 out of 739. His only hope is to take away delegates by wooing them to his side. His "people" are RIGHT NOW trying to do just that. His PEOPLE are good enough at grass roots and handshakes and making deals one on one. They have won every small caucus by grass roots organization, this they have done with PAC $$$ and utilizing the established republican organizers and methods in place. Trump will have to have his own people do the same RIGHT NOW--whether they hate the process or not, they have to do it. It isn't "stealing" its responding, organizing and influencing, and he will have to do it as President, so better prove your metal in this NOW< not relying on big party style get together rallies. These rallies get the people fired up that are ALREADY on his side. The UNDECIDEDS are the ones to reach. GET IT? Hope so.
