Meryl Streep was obviously close with Harvey Weinstein.
People like this are so brave when speaking out is all upside for them (like being a Hollywood leftist speaking out against Trump). But if there's any hint of personal sacrifice that may be necessary to back up their supposed principles, they turn into sniveling cowards.

To me this smells like it was set up, Pence new he was likely gonna leave after the anthem, he knew ahead of time that players were likely gonna kneel particularly if they knew in advance if Pence was there.

The NFL never should have allowed the players to kneel/protest. Now they're in a no win situation.
A. Continue to let players kneel and watch the ratings plummet
B. Tell the players they have to stand and deal with the moronic left that thinks it is a violation of the players rights.
Trump is on the right side of this issue and he's going to milk it.
