Respectfully, I disagree. The phrase was used by Trump to be intentionally misleading, which it is. Children are not "resistant" or "immune" if they are catching the virus, and dying (although at a much lower rate). He used it to downplay the severity of the virus as we all know to meet his political agenda goal of fully re-opening all schools. Like you said we do not have enough facts to making such blanket statements, but again "immune" is not the right word.
I see Stu's point.....although given the known original context by trump, as Deezy lays out, it puts it in a slightly different light.
Particular when so many on the RIGHT keep forgetting, this virus isn't just about death or no death.....it includes an INCREDIBLE number of people inbetween the "cases" counts and the "deaths" counts who get horribly sick but survive.
Those of us who watch CNN saw it first hand as two CNN anchors got horribly sick, detailed their suffering, yet survived.
The fact that younger people or children don't have HIGH mortality rates, should not imply that many don't get gawdawful sick!
Furthermore, as I have reviewed in a few posts, there are reports of lingering NEGATIVE after-effects in many who survived, and doctors are concerned they could be either long-lasting or permanent.
