What was Obama's reasoning for commuting her sentence?

I have no issue with who she is, but if anyone commits espionage on the level that she did, there should be a steep price to pay.

I'm not sure 3.5 years is enough time for her crime.

Of course, there could be factors that I am not aware of yet
