Bruce Poliquin incumbent rep Maine filed a law suit

Poliquin vs Secretary of State. To clarify to ranked choice ballots.  This morning in Bangor he and a lawyer hope to block the citizens ballots petition of the law. Inacted by the legislature and used in the primaries this year. As it is now clear Golden won the second district with the ranked choice measure well onto court.  Hopefully we have a represantive there by inauguration. 

This a new way to elect individuals to public sevice. It will be interesting to see how the lawsuit stands in court. Many believe the constitution gives leeway to states to run elections.  And the suit is frivolous and without any merit.  We will see how it pans. Judge Lance Walker will be hearing the merits of the case. But it seems to be more of a political stunt than anything else.

Arguments are being heard this morni g by Fed Judge Lance Walker  involving this case and the obstructive tactics to delay the results of this new law implements. 

By the end of day the court should give some clarity.

Of whether the law is constitutional or whether it needs time for further review.  

The judge after listening to nearly 3 hours of testimony will make a landmark decision as to the conditionality of rank choice ballots and further run off elections or that mere plurality should decide election 

This lawsuit is still active. Poliquin vowed to continue this where the judge would not stop the ballot tabulation. The merits of the case will continue that instant run off violates amendment 14 Of one vote for one person. 

A hearing on this matter is scheduled for Dec 5th... in federal court Bangor.  

At this point iyt really does not matter which of the two candidates get their for inauguration neither will support speaker pelosi for the House Majority leader. 

Where Poliquin's Law suit is dead in the water Precedent was set in a National Election were John Quincy although losing the populous vote won the Presidency.  It seems Poliquin's argument that plurality should dictate the winner is very reaching here.

BRUCE POLIQUIN has asked for a recount. Making this race the most costliest for the state ever.... Yes your Republican is squandering tax payer revenue because he can not admit he was detested no one has ever lost the second district as an incumbent... 

Well Federal Judge Lance Armstronghas ruled that rank choice voting or instant runoff is not unconstitutional however with the margins so small that Poliquin last gasp is to ask for a total.recount of the election.....
