Pete Hegseth was “forced out of previous leadership
positions of two (2) veterans’ advocacy organizations
for financial mismanagement, sexist behavior, and
being repeatedly intoxicated on the job.”

    The New Yorker story cited three anonymous sources
saying Hegseth stepped down from his leadership position
at Concerned Veterans for America, which he held from
2013 to 2016, because of concerns about his mismanagement
and frequent alcohol use on the job.

The publication also reported Hegseth was forced to leave
a prior leadership post at the nonprofit Veterans for Freedom
after the organization ran up substantial debt.

So he got thrown out of two organizations for veterans and now he wants to take revenge by cutting veterans benefits?

I think both Hegseth and Gabbard will get passed from the GOP controlled Senate. Election has consequences, Republicans will dominate Washington for the next two years.

Exactly with GOP controlled Congress and US Supreme Court, Trump will ram thru vast majority of his cabinet nominees and "mandates", regardless of quality with ease. There was a reason that Trump and GOP lost 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential campaign to the Democrats and Joe Biden. History repeats itself.

It happened both in 2018 and 2020, GOP and Trump lost those two elections. It could very well repeat in 2026 and 2028.

Polls found majority of Americans disapprove of Musk's role in Trump administration.  He heads a powerless advisory panel that GOP pretends to have real authority.  In government controlled by rich and powerful, minority can buy political influence.  Too many politicians only succeed in politics because of big money support instead of their service to the people.  Problem is that policies serving the wealthy can be bad for most Americans.    Economist Klugman calls plutocracy the most vulgar form of tyranny.

There's serious talk going on that criminal charges should be brought against the republican because the evidence of crime is so overwhelming
