      President Trump is going to be president again in 2024.”

*He's meaning overturn election votes not favorable to the Republican party and install their own people,  often referred to as fascism.

The New York Times reported Wednesday that congressional Republicans “have embraced plans to reduce federal spending on Social Security and Medicare, including cutting benefits for some retirees and raising the retirement age for both safety net programs.”

Some lawmakers have revealed a few specifics on the table if the GOP retakes the House, including raising the Social Security eligibility age to 70, requiring the elderly to pay increased premiums for health insurance, and imposing a strict government debt ceiling that could adversely impact entitlement programs, according to Bloomberg Government and the Times.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) has proposed sunsetting all federal spending legislation in five years.

Ideological spending cuts are risky and may backfire politically.  False economy to save money now if more must be spend later to restore vital investments.  History shows that higher tax revenue works better than spending cuts in reducing government deficits among countries.  For example, Biden is more successful than Trump in reducing federal budget deficits.  Higher tax rates don't necessarily mean lower economic growth as some high tax countries have higher economic growth than low tax countries.  But low tax rates are among reasons why US has inadequate funding for infrastructure and social safety net, but the most income inequality in the world.

Biden claims to have increased Social Security payments on his watch and takes credit for the increase. Only problem is, SS payments have increased due to inflation ( biden- "inflation is a great asset" ) Once again, biden and the left trying to take credit for something they didn't accomplish. 

It’s true that the 2023 increase – 8.7% – is the biggest in years, actually the biggest since 1981. But that’s not because of any positive Biden achievement.

The increase in Social Security payments in 2023 is the biggest in years because the inflation rate has been the biggest in years. Under a law passed in the 1970s, Social Security payments must be increased by the same percentage that a certain measure of consumer prices has increased.

Yet you are on here passing it off as the Dems are as fact. At least Twitter is no longer going to push you Russian or China bots and your disinformation campaign. I have a preposterous idea, Fubah2. Trump might be a friend rather than a foe to the Dems when heading to the 2024 presidential campaign. It seems likely, Trump will face DeSantis in the 2024 GOP presidential primaries. We can tell that many right wings, including Fox News, are touting DeSantis for 2024 after he decisively won the State of Florida. The potential fierce in-fight within GOP could cause wreak havoc for the party, we will see.

He took the opportunity to bash the January 6 committee as completely partisan, and trashed it on that basis.

That is inaccurate of course since there are in fact two republicans on the committee making it bi-partisan.

Jake Tapper corrected him, live, pointing out that Kevin McCarthy had the opportunity to fill the committee with republicans but pulled out.

His fault.   Not the fault of alleged "democrat partisanship"
