No.. counter- health care plan would be better, than this train wreck of a cluster coming down the pike called "The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ".. The freedoms that Americans will lose under the Obamacare government take over of health care is not worth any percieved gains... so don't believe the myth being put out there by the liberal left ,that doing something.. (.even if it's the wrong thing to do) ..is better than doing nothing ..

IMO the rising costs of insurance were due to a few factors

A) prices on everything go up over time
B) As a generation of those covered got older, they used their insurance more, prices went up
C) Litigious society...more lawsuits, cost of defending / paying out...prices passed on.

So with those factors in mind, my solution can only fix C)
TORT REFORM

A) Limit the awards handed out
B) make the plaintiff pay lawyer fees / court costs if case brought before the court is either thrown out of defendant found not responsible

Didn't we try that with Bush? There were laws passed to address those at least partially and I am still waiting on the promises back then how it would lower the premium......

tort reform is foxnews speak. they've tort reformed the sh*t out medical malpractices cases over the years. if you talk to medical maplractice lawyers, those cases are extremely difficult and expensive to even start at this point. most lawyers won't even mess with them. i can't imagine more tort reform would put a dent in our medical costs problems.

Is tort responsible for education costs, script costs, etc?

There is a great deal more at issue than excess litigation, so while that is part of the problem it is not the whole problem and does not address the issue.

So again, what else do you guys have to stop the MULTI decade HC inflation problem?
