I thought this was an interesting perspective.
The concept of trump rationalizers vs the trump resistance.
also the dilemma that as a politician, supporting trump is political suicide. As seen with Christie, you will look silly standing there and become the ultimate laughing stock for having no integrity. Especially as trump sheds his GOP rhetoric and pivots on the GOP base he conned and moves left/liberal to try to win it all.
With the only real reason for trump support by the GOP than being Hillary opposition, the whole party itself becomes hollow and with out identity.

But if it being dead because it is an empty shell of opposition with no real identity beyond that, perhaps with Obama conservatism has been dead for some time now and it's is Obama that has dictated the conservative/constitutionalist/teaparty/GOP/Fox News agenda and rhetoric because it is only manufactured opposition and outrage.
But this oppositional tactic results Hillary being able to play the same card of not having to sell progressive or liberal values to America, she needs to only sell to America that trump as president would be a disaster.
And now that conservatism is dead, dems do not need to make it about principles or policies, she just needs to play the oppositional game just like the GOP has and having no identity or foundation beyond opposition to their own opposition.
And with it not being about principles and instead about trump resistance, it doesn't matter what party you are from or what your beliefs on issues are. And you can see it being an equal opportunity of people of all parties and independents joining the resistance against trump, even GOP's
