Name me ONE good thing that BHO has done for the people and the USA without mentioning White, Black, or Bush.

This should be a short thread.

    rolf

first of all, you need to believe that a 6'5" saudi on dialysis could wander the desert and mountains for 10 years nowhere near a hospital

if you do believe that, leon panetta was the man behind the entire operation. bama had his golf jacket on in the released pic

i would say to find the death pics, but those are gone. maybe ask seal team 6, but they are gone as well sadly

I think a better question would be, name one original idea that president Obama has brought to the national solutions for problems table

Follow question, what does the man plan to run on for the next four year stint as president?

What has changed? Will he decry the need for more change? (Like invading more countries, more war mongering and death, more bailouts for banks, more extending of the "bush tax cuts"?

Why would you vote for him now?

the health care debate exposed the massive abuses of our insurance system......and then of course those stayed after the payola
and the healthcare debate brought to light the insolvency of medicare
.....but that wont get fixed because of senior votes.

koaj....obl was in pakistan and was killed.....but you are correct that it was panetta.

if some asshole was going to fake the whole thing it would have been cheney

Here's the #1 reason I think that Obama actually did get Osama:

If Osama was dead, and we knew it for many many years, then why did the Bush administration not release this information publicly? Why allow it to be passed onto Obama who could take credit for it?

Exactly my thoughts as well. Even if you figure that the Bush administration didn't announce it because they hypothetically wanted to keep the boogie man around to either (a) continue the justification for military presence in the Middle East or (b) continue the justification for the intrusion on the rights of the citizenry, then why would the Bush administration not at least make the exact same announcement in the last week of his Presidency that Obama did?

There's no good answer to that question. I could see if it was a presidency going from GOP to GOP to keep it quiet, but you really think the GOP wanted to give the Democrats (and Obama in particular) such a fantastic PR opportunity?

Apache, You are a total jackass.

I’m sick and tired of people asking “What has Obama done?” So here’s a list of things he’s done since he’s been in office. Remember: He was elected President. He wasn’t elected Jesus!

The list is still growing. Let me know if I missed anything.

    1. Saved the collapse of the American automotive industry by making GM restructure before bailing them out, and putting incentive money to help the industry

    2. Shifted the focus of the war from Iraq to Afghanistan, and putting the emphasis on reducing terrorism where it should have been all along

    3. Relaxed Anti-American tensions throughout the world

    4. Signed order to close the prisoner “torture camp” at Guantanamo Bay

    5. Has made the environment a national priority, and a primary source for job creation

    6. Has made education a national priority by putting emphasis and money behind new ideas like charter schools, but speaking directly to school children in telling them they have to do their part.

    7. Won the Nobel Peace Prize

    8. $789 billion economic stimulus plan

    9. Appointment of first Latina to the Supreme Court

    10. Attractive tax write-offs for those who buy hybrid automobiles

    11. Authorized construction/opening of additional health centers to care for veterans

    12. Renewed dialogue with NATO and other allies and partners on strategic issues.

    13. Beginning the process of reforming and restructuring the military 20 years after the Cold War to a more modern fighting force… this includes new procurement policies, increasing size of military, new technology and cyber units and operations, etc.

    14. Better body armor is now being provided to our troops

    15. “Cash for clunkers” program offers vouchers to trade in fuel inefficient, polluting old cars for new cars; stimulates auto sales

    16. Changed the failing/status quo military command in Afghanistan

    17. Closed offshore tax safe havens

    18. Deployed additional troops to Afghanistan

    19. Ended media “blackout” on war casualties; reporting full information

    20. Ended previous policy of awarding no-bid defense contracts

    21. . Ended media blackout on war casualties and the return of fallen soldiers to Dover AFB.

    22. Ended previous policy of cutting the FDA and circumventing FDA rules

    23. Ended previous practice of forbidding Medicare from negotiating with drug manufacturers for cheaper drugs; the federal government is now realizing hundreds of millions in savings

    24. Ended previous practice of having White House aides rewrite scientific and environmental rules, regulations, and reports

    25. American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has created 2.1 million jobs (as of 12/31/09).

I think every single one of those from 1 to 108 could be disputed. Also, 65 and 72 are the same thing

Correct me if I am wrong, but Obama had to:

    (a) Give the OK to the Special Ops mission to get Osama

    and

    (b) Give the OK to do the mission itself without telling Pakistan beforehands.

Hate Obama all you want, but that decision took balls especially cause everyone knows what can happen if you drop Special Ops forces into hostile territory and things go south.

Forget everything I said. How about the gas mileage increase? The EPA that you hate MADE automakers increase fuel economy.

They bitched they couldnt for years and years. Obama pressures the EPA, they pass legislation, and what do you know?

FACT: Over 10 years, Obamas fuel initiatives have resulted in 21% greater fuel efficiency. We now save MORE gas each year thanks to him then the entire domestic output of the US: the equivalent of him doubling our drilling.

Anyways moron, theres about a thousand things.

But while you drive a 50MPG car 10 years from now, you won't be thanking Obama. When your pickups are going from 14MPG to 24MPG and you save thousands at the gas pump Apache, will you be thanking Obama? No, you're an ass.

Why not???? Just think: forget everything I said he does. Just by FORCING automakers (aka socialism) to innovate, to have better fuel standards, he reduces demand for foreign oil, adds hundreds each year to each of our pockets. Improved air quality saves thousands of lives, decreases asthma levels in youth in urban areas as well as cancer rates, which are proven elevated by gasoline fumes and carbon ingestion.

Nobody is perfect. I voted for Obama and will again. He's the lesser evil. He means well, and he cares about the future not just corporate profits.

    Final thought:

I copy and pasted that list. I know he's done a lot. Some things are vague. I want to say I'm no hardcore liberal. I'm not the opposite of you. I voted for Clinton, I voted for Bush the first time, I voted for Obama.

I don't go out of my way to defend a democrat or attack republicans. However, it really really annoys me when people marginalize great accomplishments and act like the man is intentionally running the country in the ground.

We need balance. I voted for republicans in the house to put Obama in check and I enjoy the arguments, it brings attention to the issues. We are all Americans and need to work together, despite differences in our ideas of how to do it.

God bless you and your opinions Apache and the firestorm of criticism I'm sure to receive, and God bless America!!
