A federal judge has sentenced Michael Cohn to 3 yrs in prison..

U.S. District Judge William Pauley III today sentenced lying Michael Cohen to three years in prison..Cohen was sentenced for eight criminal counts he pleaded guilty to in August.

The sentencing was related to two separate cases brought by the Southern District of New York and Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.

He will serve a term concurrently with a two-month sentence he was given for lying to Congress about a possible Trump Tower project in Moscow, a charge leveled by Special Counsel Mueller.

Cohen has been ordered to surrender on March 6.  He also was ordered to pay $1.4 million in restitution and a $50,000 fine, and forfeit $500,000.

The judge agreed to recommend Otisville Federal Correctional Facility, in Upstate New York, as the prison where Cohen will spend his time.

Amazing! Cohen receives 3 years for lying. What about Strozk, Page, Comey, McCabe, Clinton and the rest of the DC Cabal? We certainly have double standards of justice in the US. The Deep State is alive and well.

Forbes calls this place one of the top 10 federal institutions requested by criminals. Bernie Madoff requested this place but got sent to North Carolina instead. The low security section houses only 125 inmates.

In that case  .....Cohen should be denied Otisville Federal Correctional Facility he deserves to serve hard time... he's a rat ,liar and a scumbag ....

They actually have HBO & Showtime available to watch on Friday & Saturday night. Their commissary is like a delicatessen with kosher food etc. On the 4th & other summer holidays, they have burger/franks cookouts.

It's only 90 minutes outside NYC. His family can visit as often as they want. This doesn't sound like justice has been served IMO.

Can't forget Trump Organization CFO Weisselberg & that slimeball Pecker.

I know immunity has to be considered to gather the dirt but many of these pricks displayed some really despicable conduct & will walk. I'm still pissed that pedophile Epstein bought his freedom.

I would think losing the comfort of his wife for 3 years and having to submit to his new buddy Bubba every night is a real penalty...

..and if he's going to sue anyone for defamation for calling him a liar.....he will have to include Congress and Mueller, because he lied to them also..

How desparate was Cohn that Mueller said Jump and Cohn asked how many charges that aren't crimes do you want me to plead to?

If paying off a Bimbo was a federal campaign violation,its not a Felony and would be subject of a fine to the campaign.

White collar country club federal prisons don't get the Bubba's of this world. The feds and the judges always have to fear entering the system themselves and have certain facilities set aside for their own comfort and safety. The population tends to be 90% white and 90% college educated.

If, the cost of paying off these women (with his personal money) would have been done regardless.. if Trump run for office.. then it may be just a technical violation..of the FEC law..and nothing more..

You do make a valid point there about less Bubba's in country club federal prisons...  except it's that other 10% in there, that he may have to avoid..  Cohen was crying at his sentencing and that 10 % may see that as an effeminate trait to be explored...

Trump surrounds himself with crooks and liars.  For a corrupt leader, blind loyalty is more important than character and competence.   Investigations have lead to multiple indictments, guilty pleas and convictions.  Cohen's case just further diminishs Trump's credibility when he claims innocence.  Most people don't believe Cohen act alone and Trump is an unindicted co-conspirator to defraud Americans.
