459,000   Americans    have SUFFERED horribly,      then DIED
from the deadly contagion that trump and his accomplices downplayed then   an_light
allowed to proliferate throughout the nation.

Millions more SUFFERED illness, sometimes very severe, but survived.

trump's incompetence and criminal negligence has now killed more Americans
than were lost in combat in Korea, Vietnam, WWI and WWII *combined*

That is 200 k more than Biden won Nov 3rd.

Really if you don't mind I rather use Darth Vader than a bunch of girl Scout cookie center sellers if I need to go to war against an unseen microbe.

It's a good thing Biden or Cuomo weren't in charge when this hit or we would have twice the casualties.

That's pure conjecture. I personally think our casualties were going to land right about where they are regardless of who was in charge. And I say that same thing to people who think there would have been less casualties if Trump wasn't in office. There are many moving parts so in each scenario there would be tweaks here and there but in the best of scenarios I think this is about where we were gonna be.

Off the subject, on the subject.

    @THEMUGG

What's up with businesses in Washington? Bars and restaurants specifically. We were thinking of driving up to Olympia for the day to do something different for Valentine's. Hard to get a read on what exactly is the deal from the news. I know everything is broken into sections so we get updates for southwest but even that is convoluted.

Sure, it's conjecture. I base my assertions on the fact that if NY was a country, it would be near #1 in the world in covid death rate, & that Biden initially resisted travel restrictions & has now seen fit to unsecure our borders.

Do you know someone in Olympia? It's not a place I would choose for a day trip. There's a great bbq place a few miles west though. They've won some awards. I'm not a huge bbq guy, but I've eaten there & it's pretty damn good. That area is in "phase 2" so they're allowed in-door dining up to 25% capacity......but I would check with each place as they're not all opening for that immediately.

My wife has a friend there but we won't necessarily see her. We have been to Olympia. It's just a place to take a drive. Get away for a few hours. I'm more just curious if bars and restaurants are open. I'm having a hard time fully understanding what Inslee's policy is.

How have RESPONSIBLE gov'ts handled the pandemic?
    Feb 5, 2021:

Japan       = 49 deaths per million
Taiwan       = .4 deaths per million
Hong Kong     = 25 deaths per million
              S. Korea      = 29 deaths per million
New Zealand     =  5 deaths per million
Australia     = 35 deaths per million

    trump-regime  = 1,419 deaths per million

You're not alone, lol. He came up with some crazy, lib math that allows the most populous counties in the state to be in phase two while the rest of the state remains in phase one........& he'll only "look" at updating them every two weeks. He's an idiot.

Officials plead against Super Bowl parties

Officials and public health experts are pleading with people to avoid Super Bowl parties
to cut down on chances for the virus to spread.

"Now is not the time for a Super Bowl party,"
Alabama State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris said Friday.
"Now is not the time to fumble the ball, because you got careless by spending time
with a bunch of people that are not from your household."

Health experts warn that it's extremely risky for local and state leaders to lift Covid-19
restrictions right now because of the rising threat of coronavirus variants.
In fact, the Biden administration is considering more restrictions, like a Covid-19
testing requirement for domestic air travel.
