This just happened to me playing in a tourney on the PokerStars.net free-roll site. It was play money, but still.....
Long story short, not to get into the hand....there were 4 diamonds on the board. I had Ad, giving me the high flush. In short, Pokerstars software awarded the pot to a player with a straight!!
Granted, this was at the free roll, play money site, but damn.... Makes one think about if this were to happen on a real money game. It's dissappointing as well, as I thought Pokerstars and FullTilt were the best.....
I emailed and told them what happened....we'll see if I get a response. I actually told them that this throws up a huge red flag if I were to ever to think about making a deposit and playing for real.

Pokerstars responded (they have very good customer service):
"I'm sorry but I cannot review the hand to confirm your claim as play money hand histories are not stored in our database. However, in over 13,000,000,000 hands dealt, we have never awarded the pot incorrectly. This is true in both play and real money."
They go onto say that I can use the a "hand history" feature if I register at the pay site. Everything (of course) is about the pay site for them. Not going to do it, sorry.
