I just got an account with FullTilt Poker last night.  Thanks for the warning.  I saw so many advertisements for it, so I decided to give it a shot.  If you lost seven straight times with king-king, that's absurd.

    Coinflipper... its not rigged...

He loses 7 times with KK, sometimes that happens in poker. People run bad. Notice how he doesn't say what happens in each hand, just loses. KK vs Axs is only 2-1, thats just the way it is.

Hell I play against a guy that plays 39 everytime, i don't know why but he does,  but he only remembers the times he wins with it. Not the times he loses 8 bets cuz all he has is a pair of 9's with no kicker.

They even admit if they see the same thing in real life they don't complain.  Guess what if you have a 1 outer you have a 2.25% chance of hitting. so its not impossible. Bad Beats happens, guys go weeks or months on horrible cold streaks.

You can't blame the internet for your problems

I think that it seems as if poker is rigged on sites because you see so many more hands online then you do in a casino, due to shuffling, chip movement etc. I sometimes say to myself, its rigged but in reality its probably not.

Guys, seriously.  These sites make fucking truckloads of money just from the rake that's paid in cash games/tournaments.  They have absolutely no reason to go and fuck up a good thing.  And if it were in fact rigged.  I would think someone would have already cracked the case by now.

how could have someone cracked the case, who has the authority to investigate their computers? if they stick you and not pay you, how to you run to ? yea their making tons of money but they also get greedy too. it's almost the perfect crime. ive played many more hands in atlantic city than i did on line and ive never seen as many bullshit hands as on line. here's my story: i went into a 20 sit and go and told every one im getting out of online poker and im dropping my last 20 here, just giving it away. trying to lose. after a couple of hands of telling everyone my hand during play, they started believing me and i would go all in and tell what i have, so now im getting more callers on my all in's. bottom line i knocked 4 people out and finished 4th. catching one card flushes and gut shots. as if the computer recognized me as a beginner making bad bet but wanted to keep me in the game. they fuked with the computers in horse racing, bank accounts, anywhere a computer is involved you can be robbed.

People say you see a ton more hands online and that's true, but the stuff you see online on a regular basis you may never see in 40 years of playing live poker.  Face it, there is no way to regulate the programs that decide what cards are dealt, so you are trusting the owners of the poker sites to be fair.  Almost all corporations lie and cheat as much as they can get away with, and poker sites are no different.  They make money off the rake, but that is peanuts compared to what they can make from rigging hands.  You win just enough to keep you coming back for more.

As for the argument that they make enough off rake so that they don't need to cheat, how much was Enron making before they started cheating?  When you are rich, money becomes a game, where you always want more.  Poor people are happy if they get an extra thousand.  Rich people aren't happy if they get another million.  They immediately start thinking how to get 10 million or 100 million or 1 billion etc.  That is why they are rich, becuase they always want more.   I'm not knocking it, that is just the way the world works.

I was one who for a long time agreed with JMM1980 and ILL, feeling that these sites really have no incentive to rig the game, that if it were rigged, people would discover it and trash the site, putting them out of business ultimately.

But playing on some different sites, I believe some are "more rigged" than others.  When Pacific Poker (888.com) was open to U.S. players, I found it to be very fair with about the right amount of bad beats as you would expect in a live game.

Playing other sites like Sportsbook.com, I have seem so many river A beats (i.e. A-any vs. pocket pair where the A hits on the river consistently), that I feel like there are some irregularities in the programming that are designed to keep the bad/beginner player around longer.

Think about it - they probably have mathematicians/PhD types studying the games, coming up with predictive models based on human behavior that can maximize their profit.  In an overseas situation, who is going to police or audit their software and hand results?

That being said, it makes sense to really study hand outcomes and document certain patterns of beats, so you can either adjust your play accordingly or get on another site.  I still play on Sportsbook, and now overplay AK, for example.

Why would the cash games be rigged ? Hmmmm.....Deal out good hands to build huge pots that come down to river card. Of course more rake for the site. Why is that hard to understand? Of course the games are rigged...no question.

I truly can't believe in my heart of hearts that Full Tilt and other site as big with such exposure are rigged.  With the millions of people playing online poker you have to figure there is someone out there that has a great enough command of programming that they could capture the information and prove that it is fixed and with that bring the site down.  They stand to lose to much money by rigging these games for even a few people.  It irritates me when people lose a hand and then reply with..."oh that's...." and then they mention the poker site.  It's not.  Yes a power hand you have will win 90% of the time, but there is that 10% of the time that you will lose.  One or two bad beats does not a conspiracy make.  I think it's just the percentages working against you.

Why would they rig it? It's not like they're making any of the winnings...all they're making is the fee to play which is already included when you pay to join a table...

Everything I refer to in the following statements is Poker - Hold em and the like - both limit and no limit.

Common guys, it's rigged.  All sites are owned and operated by some small country in who knows where.  Since the law to ban U.S. financial institutions from making direct deposits into online casinos was enacted, I believe the online casinos are hurting now compared to before.  If you can't control it, I realize you want to teach them a lesson and get your money back, but it's not going to happen so please, don't make any more deposits into Online casinos.  It's rigged.

We all know how well we play.  We play at live casinos and make money.  We play at live casinos and lose money.  We play online casinos and lose money.  We play online casinos and lose money, yes I repeated the same sentence twice so you get my point.  If you win online and actually can make a living at it hey, more power to you.  If you don't, please don't make deposits anymore. Casino's are smart and they steal a lot of money, they have the resources most of us don't, they have an advantage and they control everything from the moment you log on to the moment you need to redeposit.  It's rigged, so please don't make anymore deposits into online casinos.

The only people who say it's not rigged, are those that win; the others - which probably accounts for a very high percentage of players are getting screwed.  It's rigged.  Please make no deposits to online poker anymore.

Why do you think not one,...not one online casino is owned and operated within the borders of the United States of America?  Do you think that's coincidence?  Seriously, please take a moment to think and ponder about that.  Do you really believe that no American Corporation or Financial Group is capable of operating an Online Casino?  Please take a moment to consider this.  It's rigged.

The rake?  A small percentage of every hand -  Compared to the pot - when rigged - is only a small percentage of the robbery, The casinos have their own User profiles playing at the tables, we all know casino's use prop players, online casinos use bots and these bots have accounts that actually have money, or at least they play you with virtual chips, your money is real and you can lose your real money to these players, whether it be a bot or a real prop player.  Make no mistake, it's rigged if 5 real players lose pots to 3 or 4 in house players, it's a pretty big pot and a heck of a lot more money than just the rake - which pro online casino advocates so readily always advocate - I think because they are the partial benefactors.  It's rigged.

Also, even land based casino's have these problems for the everyday good, even expert player - cheating occurs in many forms both online and in land based casino's.  But make no mistake, you can catch them at a real table and have them prosecuted in person, you just have to be alert and know what to watch for - it does happen so watch out.  Things like crooked dealers, crooked floor men, crooked decks and collusion are the main issues.  In tournaments watch out for all of the above plus chip dumping.

Online casino's have all of the same problems as land-based casino's plus tons more.  You have absolutely no control of what happens when playing online, the bad beats are not normal.  People argue that many more hands are seen, so you will get many more bad beats than at a land based casino, but if that were true, you would also see that many more good beats, and depending on your level of play it should be comparable with what you are capable of at a land-based casino.  If you are smart you will never , ever, ever deposit into any online casino again.  If you are so good at poker, then just prove it.  Go to your local casino and win, win, win.  And good luck.

Online casino's are rigged 199% please don't be a donkey.

    Thanks.

Yeah?  What's the guys name?  Even if the casino let's you win, you can't make withdrawals if you are a U.S. player without having to wait a rediculous amount of time, which in turn means you will re-deposit those winnings because you get cheated out of whatever you left in there; you it's true.  And as for the rake is capped at most tables, maybe you need to read the article once again so you really understand that Online poker has got to stop.  We have to put a stop to this.  The only way to do this is get the word out.

Right now all of the casino's are trying to force all players to start to playing HORSE, because when they are cheated there, the same arguments they use now like - you suck at poker, or maybe you should try freerolls, or bad beats happen, or more hands are dealt online than in land based casino so your bound to get screwed sooner or later will hold more water because HORSE consists of games not all too familiar with.  So those arguments will hold water.  Guys, Girls please do not deposit your hard earned cash that you should be using to make a better life for yourself and for your cute little ones and your wife into Online Casino's, it's not a fair shake and you really should be more responsible.  If you are going to play , at least play where you can catch a thief and where local laws can actually prosecute.  It's rigged, please don't deposit in any Online Casino ever again.  The Online Casino Robbery has got to stop, and the only people who can stop it are those who play.  Just grit your teeth and let your losses go, you will not get them back unless it's some strategy from the Casino's side and only a half dozen of you will benefit.  Please do not deposit anymore, it's rigged.

I ask you, what kind of business grants you a 100% deposit bonus and still stays in business?  Just think about that.  The rake will not cover that.  You are not the only player getting a deposit bonus and if all are getting that deposit bonus, then it doesn't mean a thing; it just means you have more chips that worth 50% less than what you originally deposited.  The blinds, and the cheating take it away either way.  Please don't be a horses ass, it's rigged.  Do not deposit into Online Casino's ever again.

I ask you, what kind of business grants you a 100% deposit bonus and still stays in business?  Just think about that.  The rake will not cover that.  You are not the only player getting a deposit bonus and if all are getting that deposit bonus, then it doesn't mean a thing; it just means you have more chips that are worth 50% less than what you originally deposited.  The blinds, and the cheating take it away either way.  Please don't be a horses ass, it's rigged.  Do not deposit into Online Casino's ever again.

What? The poker sites rarely give you up front bonuses, they give you bonuses which are released when you play raked hands. It's usually equivalent to a high percentage rakeback so most times they still make money. And of course it is marketing to get you to sign up and play more hands and tournaments which are fully raked.
