95% of the time OR MORE your KK is gonna be the best hand.
    _________

That's a pretty irresponsible statement.  We're not talking random hands here.  We're talking about a guy who has NOT PRE-FLOP RAISED the whole night who limped and then put in a significant re-raise on top of someone who raised in middle position.  You're going to tell everyone that a person who does that at a card table has aces 5% of the time?

You can't evaluate this hand in a vacuum.

Personally, I say that guy has A-A about 85-90% of the time.....if not more.  Which means you lose a hand like that 7 or 8 times out of 10 (taking into account you probably make a set at least one of those times and deliver him a bad beat).  You think that is profitable???

Clown you just a big retard, everyone here knows that. So now, anytime someone puts in a big raise they have AA? Someone just tell me why the guy would limp in with AA, when if you get 5 or 6 callers you are SOL, then with your AA you win a small pot or lose a big one. I have played a ton of no-limit, I haven't seen it all, but I have seen a lot, and I have seen Jokers in the same type of spot raise all in with 2 overs, like this, and the guy that folded had the same hand or had the raiser dominated. So now we have asshole experts saying the guy for sure had AA, when they have never played with the guy and weren't at the table. The guy that folded the KK said the raiser had played tight, but what he didn't say is that he knew the player well, or that he had played with him several times. Doesn't this matter? Clown you just fit in real well in WV don't you?

By the way, I know this is advanced thinking for some of you chumps like clown, but the straddler just called, you have to put him on like AK or AQ. So now you are saying that he for sure had AA when there are probably 3 aces out there, not 4 A's? But let's say that the re-raiser will go all-in w/ 6 possible hands, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AK, or AQ suited. Of these hands 2 you are in bad shape vs, and the other 4 you are great shape. SO playing the odds maybe you should gamble. Now w/ KK pre-flop, I'm not folding unless I KNOW the guy has aces, the poster thought he had aces though, big difference.

I couldnt disagree with your percentages just as much as you disagree with mine. Thats fine, Ive read some of your poker logic and its nothing im onterested in anyways so its all good. You guys just keep folding KK pre and see where it gets you after youve done it a couple times. Folding KK preflop is not +EV in the longrun IMO. Disagree if you want but Id be willing to bet Ive made more money playing poker than you and the Original Poster so Ill just leave it at that.

One sidenote: this is why poker is so great. Same situation and we can find 10 different ways to look at it. Not tryin to start a fight, I like all you guys

If youre giving guys credit for AA 85%-90% of these times please come sit at my table. I'll push you around all nite

    Chance-

I get what you're saying and I don't disagree with the premise entirely.  But you're wrong if you think that IN THIS SITUATION, that K's are going to be good 95% of the time.

Who the F limps and then pops a solid raise into a re-raise by a person in middle position?  You think a person who hasn't raised pre-flop ALL NIGHT is deciding to make this sort of play with Q-Q or less?  Is it possible?  Yeah.  Is it probable, I don't think so.

And please point me to this poker logic of mine you've read that is so far off base.  I consider myself capable, but hardly an expert.  But I'd like to know what is so off base re. things I've posted here.

And folding K-K is not going to result in positive EV over the long run (if you don't take into account the circumstances), but I haven't run into a lot of people who limp (especially in early position) and then pop in a big re-raise with hands like Q-Q (and worse).  Have you?

I just dont like folding KK preflop period. I think if this "exact same situation happened 100 times, you'd be down $ folding KK every time. I think u see TT,JJ,QQ,and AK here enough to make it profitable. I just think if youre gonna fold Kk preflop at theselow limits what hand are you waiting for???? I think of things different though, I think of poker in terms of thousands of hands, not the result of this exact hand and I feel in this exact situation overthe long run youre losing money.

But hey, I play poker online for a living and you're "capable" so you must be right, lol

Even if you narrow his range down to just QQ, AA, and AK you still have 59.1% equity in the pot. With all that money already in there its an instacall.

Narrow it down to just AA,KK, and QQ and you have 50.01% equity and, like before, with all that money already in there its a call.

Narrow it down to just AA and AK and you have 51% equity.

Also dont forget if you shove its approximately $860 for over $1,000 (not exact # at all) so youre getting odds on top of being ahead of his range. I dont like the fold

Also dont forget if you shove he actually will fold a small percentage of the time too making your shove an even better play

1 last thing. sorry, i keep thinking of more things after each post.

I do agree that, in this situation, he flips over AA a descent percentage of the time, just not enough to justify a fold

Chance, I agree with everything you say. The guy could have had TT, and pushed all-in, hoping the guy didn't have the J, and trying to blow out 2 overs. Now as for watching games on TV, you have to watch it and keep things in perspective. You see a guy slow play, and limp in with AA, but it was a 2 or 3 handed table. So if you think the guy was sharp and do the same at a 9 handed game that is foolish. I watch the high stakes game, but I realize that they are playing for a helluva lot more $$ than I do, and some of these guys have some big BR's. Negreanu plays some hands for $20 K that noone would call a raise with. But he hits some big hands sometimes. And he has a lot of $$ coming in from poker ads on TV so he can donk off a bit of $$.

In my opinion when it gets to the point in the night that you are folding KK preflop you should probably get up and leave because you dont really want to play anymore and you are happy winning and leaving with the $ you have in front of you

at some point you have to think you are overanalyzing things. Every move is a gamble unless you have the nuts on the river. Other than that any hand of yours can be beaten. So all we have is %'s and a feel for the situation.

But I wasn't winning.  I do believe that you should adjust to how the  table is playing.  I don't believe in tightening up when you're winning as you cheat yourself out of money.

    If so, OK

If its more than your 2nd, youre too tight

the point of this hand that everyone is missing is that this guy hasnt raised once all night in 6 hours now he is reraising.  ive seen a million ppl limp in on any straddle with aa, i believe it said the tight guy was 2nd to act after the straddle, so its completely possible he got aa. this guy aint makin a huge reraise for 100, 110 bucks out there with aj when he hasnt raised ONE TIME ALL NIGHT.  if johnnys in with the kk you cant blame him, but you have to at least think there is a good chance tight guy has aa, i dont hate the fold is what im saying.  if jonny is in there and the guy does have qq, he surely folds when jonny pushes his last 700 in, and he only wins like a 300 pot anyways, or he loses all 700.  if hes telling the truth and this guy is playing SUPERSUPERTIGHT, then aa is a pretty good possibility.  i have only folded kk preflop once that i can remember but there was another time i really should and could have and i didnt and guy had aa.

in some of the superagressive games i have seen where someone always raises and the whole table wants to play why wouldnt you limp in with aa and just shove once theres all that dead money out there?  if by chance it dont get raised, you can always fold, it is only a pair.

it's the first time in my 7 years of playing holdem.  I folded kings in omaha many times before but omaha is so easy to get aces.
