Vanzack proved this year that betting is a cursed money

Vanzack is giving back everything he won in betting this year. He seems to be -40 units the last time I updated. I confess that I have always admired him for having so many years in the positive, but after more than 30 years in this industry, I know that all bettors will give back their winnings sooner or later.

In fact, I will go further, the money won in betting, theft, is the same thing, it is cursed money that did not come from the fruit of your work and is charged double from you later. Do not spend 1 dollar that is not the fruit of your work, if you win for some time in betting, donate it to charities.

But for the love of God, do not use this money for your personal expenses, it will take a high price with no future.

Let me guesss - we should donate it to your church go rsvp a spot in heaven?

 I am not religious, but I am old and experienced enough to know that no one prospers in life with money from gambling or theft. This money usually exacts a very high price, whether in dollars or in mental/spiritual peace, family misfortunes, etc. Just look at how 80% of lottery winners will be poor after 10 years. Money can only prosper if you create value for other people, whether through your capital or your service.

Gambling has ups and downs. If someone has a bad season after u watched them be in the positive for so many years. Guess what! It’s just that. It’s a bad year. It’s called gambling and not winning for a reason. If you believe how you believe then gambling shouldn’t be for u anymore. You really shouldn’t even be in the gambling forum because u believe the way u do. Thats not me trying to be funny either. Have a nice day. I got more studying to do.

And damn sure shouldn’t be making threads where you’re calling out another man’s season. Especially after u mention all the winning ones lol. Van has been here for years and is one of the ones who make this forum what it is. Just my 2 cents.

 I have been gambling for so many years because I truly consider myself an addict, but more importantly, I really enjoy sports. I was actually a college baseball athlete who didn't make it to the next level. So sports are intertwined with my personality, and it's really hard to stop watching them, and it's even harder to stop betting on them. When I make a bet, I feel like I'm part of the show. But today, after many years of watching various cappers and reading books on the subject, I have my own verdict on what happens to those who think they are "winning" or "living" from betting. Even worse, "making an investment" in betting. Crazy.

 Yes, I also mentioned that I admire him for being in the positive for so many years. He was really the only Capper here in Covers who managed to do it for so long. But this year was proof that even the "God of handicap" will also fall one day, as so many others have fallen before him.

Sounds to me people need to worry about counting their own money and records.

lol also I know and have seen plenty of pieces of chewed up grass thief’s in my lifetime. And for u to compare betting to theft is wild lol. People who study games and use educated guesses to place their money on sporting events aren’t thief’s lol

You see, people who make money gambling "for a while" are making that money at the expense of other people's suffering. Because for every dollar you make, there's someone else on the other side who's addicted and losing. So you're like a drug dealer who's profiting from other people's addiction. Anyway, I also gamble, I post my bets here on the forum, I'm just trying to explain to you how my view on gambling works. I'm aware today that every dollar I make here isn't mine, it's money I'll be donating to charity. The losses will go into my budget as "fun money."

 I get it and it sounds like you just need to bow out and watch the games only. Fantasy sports for fun and no money sounds like might be the thing that will help you to feel like your involved and give ya the excitement ya need to watch the game. But gambling and gambling forums aren’t for u anymore. But not really cool to slander others just because it’s not for u. U might not feel like you was but it is. Again no hard feelings but hopefully u realize and just move away from this part and do what u feel u need to do for urself. But people like me and vanzack and macwestie who have been here for a very long time. Will still be here grinding. I had time today so I’ve typed more than normal lol. You make some solid points for sure. Am certain that lives have been destroyed over involvement with sports' betting. When humans gamble endorphins are released in our brains and these pleasurable feelings are addictive. 
Now that the NFL has partnered with the gambling industry the promotion of football wagering is at fever pitch. The fear of it creating and causing harm is real and legit IMO.
