Yes USA has multiple contractors! There’re too many drones to list they have various purposes on the Battlefield. Setting a side Russia’s new jet powered drones, all of the drones are relatively easy to shoot down if you have machine guns, keep in mind ammo is expensive in the West vs inexpensive for Russia. Max drone speed is 200 miles an hour far too fast for men or vehicles to out run.
As for the drones getting most of the headlines for hitting inside of Russia they have short range smaller drones about 2 meters in length & long range drones 4 meters to the size of a small Cessna. These drones have 2 stroke motors made in Italy! The short range drones are loaded up on fast trucks that drive fast to the border then launch drones into Russia. That’s why Russia recently destroyed the gas stations in Ukraine denying gas to the trucks.
Military sites inside of Russia are heavily guarded against drones rarely do any get through. Energy Infrastructure in Russia has been approved to arm themselves so they now have trucks with mounted machine guns guarding sites.
So Ukraine has been targeting civilian & civilian infrastructure which is really hard to protect. Wildberries is Russia’s version of Amazon, they recently switched from small warehouses located all over to huge Warehouses so Ukraine attacked the giant warehouses.
