Fred Sanford would use that phrase on Sanford & Son accompanied by a hand twisting gesture. I understood the context from a very young age.
Then in the late 90's, the Rock used it during a wrestling promo, accompanied by the same hand gesture.
There are clear acrylics that provide much better protection than nail polish. That kid just wants to paint his nails because he's a little sweet. And that's fine. Just own it though.
How about men who wear makeup? Or lifts in their shoes? Or a rug on their head?
They don't own it either, right?
Lifts in shoes are riduculous. So are man wigs, unless part of a costume or some kind of diversion.

If I was a Bears fan and I know quite a few… the focus should be on his soft USC background (whatevs on the nails) the kid came out all smiley and gung Ho and I don’t think he’s ever busted his ass at two-a-days…ever.
Coming out, check my math on this …but there was never a year in his life from 8th grade on that he wasnt THE #1 rated prep QB in the country his age. Including USC and including the Bears taking him #1 QB. He needs to sit, I like the backup a lot. Give it 3 weeks Bears fans and let him gain some respect and humbleness. Otherwise this turns really bad under his 3rd coordinator…situation sucks for his development and coming in spoiled brat from being the best in the country at his age every year is proving he lacks that drive, cajones son.

nuttin to do with DC his Mom, nails or California…. Clear as day he never had the pedigree or experience to be thrown in #1QB behind possibly the bottom 5 Offensive Lines in the league… with no RB or run game for support and weak below average WR’s including another rookie. Zip for TE support a rookies best friend. Last year was a total debacle.
He’s been put in a horrible spot, where all QB’s go to die. Chicago Bears. This is over imo, he’s 80% going to be a bust as a Bear. He’s not a pocket passer, why aren’t they letting him get out and about make things happen? Coach Sean Payton would have this guy all pro in 2 seasons. I hope Coach McVey gets ahold of him…

Caleb is weak every week
I do agree with woods in that he is not a pocket passer and was only good at USC when he was scrambling or rolling out. However, that is college and those throws simply are not there in the NFL as they are in college. He was also in a very weak conference in college and yes they played some big teams sometimes but he was not that good in most of those games. I can only call it like I see it and he has done nothing tho change my mind thus far. He needs at least a few years to fully develop and then after that its dagger time. What you will see is that he may like the necessary learning skills to adopt to the NFL game, and as the added saying goes, the NFL may move too fast for him.

Not the deepest dive of intellect here…but yes you’re correct about the coaching.
