Cmon man. Ffs. Is that who you want leading your team to war

I don't know what his nails have to do with anything.
But I do know that the Bears #1 WR DJ Moore has broken ribs after he threw him that hospital ball.

The kid has been painting his nails with messages since his high school days & it didn't stop Da Bears from making him the #1 pick in 24.
The homophobic attacks on him in this thread shows the ignorance of the dipshits we have here at COVERS.
Last night he had "988" painted on his nails because it's Suicide Prevention month & that's the # to call for those in desperate need of help.
It's a long season & some of the douchebags taking shots here at the dude should keep that 988 phone # handy.

I don't care if his mom is the queen of England. If he dresses up like a princess to honor her, people are gonna have questions. I'm no homophobe. A person's sexuality is their prerogative but don't half ass it. Stevie Wonder could see that boy is a little sweet. Let's keep it a buck.
Rhere are all sorts of ways to honor your mother. Winning the game, for example.

Done here, I’m tired and I’ve been flying all day and I’m waiting for a connector

You're tired? What, were you flying with wings?
I very much support suicide prevention. There are all sorts of ways to support suicide prevention. Sometimes the message gets lost behind the method. Is he really trying to promote suicide prevention? Or is he trying to push his own message? Sometimes something is nothing. And sometimes it's something.

The Niners used to have a tackle named Kwame Harris. Played at Stanford before the Niners drafted him. Kind of a head case. And even when he was in college, you would hear that he was kind of a strange dude. This is before the days of social media. It was just something I had heard locally. So the Niners draft him and he's getting cooked pretty regularly. And committing a ton of penalties. Now when a black person sees the name Kwame, we either pronounce it Kwa•Me, like basketball player Kwame Brown, or Kwa•May. And that was certainly the case for Kwame Harris when he first showed up in Palo Alto but somewhere along the way, he decided he wanted to be known as Kwame, like claim. One syllable. This was a sign for me.
So there he is on the Niners. I would watch the morning game at home. Then I would head to my Godbrother's and watch the Niner game with him. Get stoned, crack a few brews, etc. And i'd be saying, "Bro, what's up with yall right tackle? He's trash. I heard he was a weirdo when he was going to Stanford. Who all of a sudden decides they want to be known as "Kwame" anyway. You know that's not what his parents named him. I think bro G@Y." And he would laugh. I was serious though. Years pass and he's out of the league. And he makes the news for getting in a fight with his boyfriend at a club.
The moral of the story is, sometimes you can just tell. I've known dudes that paint their nails. They weren't homosexual. There's something amiss with young Caleb though.

What's a miss with Caleb is he sucks....
I am a big USC fan and live out west here so I was able to some his progression with USC. YOu could tell by watching him that he was very good at the collegiate level but was going to struggle at the NFL level. I don't know if his struggles will last forever but I didn't see him coming out and performing well like others may have. I have been very vocal about this in discussions in the Newsletter and nothing has changed from me. He may get better with more reps and understanding of the position at an elite level, but quite frankly I didn't see the best of footwork, decision making or ability to make smart decision while at USC when I watched him. He got away with it at the college level, but would have always been exposed at the NFL level. He was known for the deep long ball throws and those were generally open in the PAC 12, but you don't have that kind of time in the NFL generally.
These were just my thoughts. He may very well prove me wrong in the long run, but he is exactly where I thought he'd be coming out of college. Some time with the right coaches may help him, but not with the football IQ. Coaches can help him with footwork and possibly decision making, but how long down the road before he becomes another overpaid QB out of college like many others. Maybe not Jamarcus Russell, but he may very well be a bust. Time will tell...

I'm sure you'll recall the Jonathan Martin/Richie Incognito situation where Incognito was accused of racial & homosexual slurs towards Martin. Some coaches were accused of bullying Martin as well. Incognito was suspended & his career was virtually over at that point. Martin ended up taking a leave of absence.
Twelve years later, Martin came out to say he never felt bullied.
Like you said "Sometimes something is nothing" but why wait so long to clear the names of Incognito & the coaches.

Richie's career wasn't over at that point. He played some of his best football after that incident. And made some decent money. As far a Martin, I think he really did feel bullied. And I think it took him 12 years to realize that he was just being a little bitch. There are certain worlds, certainly sports, the trades as well, and I would imagine the military, to an extent, with respect to all the personal conduct rules, there are certain worlds that are full of bro culture, where guys are gonna bust your balls. They're gonna crack jokes, and those jokes are gonna all be inappropriate. And many jokes are gonna be racial. And it's in those worlds where you see a level of camaraderie that goes beyond race but everyone isn't built for it. I think Martin really felt bullied but after working through some stuff he realized there was nothing malicious about it. The damage was done but it's never too late to give a man back a bit of his good name. It's interesting you bring this up though because when it happened, I remember thinking, "I think the Martin kid is a little bit comme si comme sa. Just a little bit funny."
