I politely ask for a further explanation from you. You personally boxed me. You said it would be for a few days. No other moderator did it so you're the guy to communicate with. It's now 50 days. I thought I was doing the right thing by laying low for the first month to avoid controversy, battles and to let things calm down. I did not bash moderators. I feel I have the right to challenge people for fair enforcement of rules and to debate them and even if you dont agree with my views, you can respect them. We're all entitled to criticize our political leaders and governemnt and I don't see what is wrong with challenging a moderator in the Penalty Box at Covers if I am doing so maturely but passionately. I did not call you names. I did not personally attack you. I expressed my views that I thought I was being treated unfairly and it was all done in the confines of the Penalty Box. It did not break any rules here at Covers. I have apologized and if I have to post in the Box for a few days, I will accept that. However, I think it is fair to ask for a further explanation of what to expect since the promsies made to me were not kept. Thank you.

I had no clue that Bear was so leveraged. I didnt even know it was allowed, I thought margin rules were much tighter than they are and that is why we are in the pickle. It isnt the toxic mortgages or CDO's it is the leverage that the FED and the SEC allows these firms to have. That is why MBI and ABK are in trouble, it is why C and BSC and WM and a slew of others are as well.

If nothing else if we get some leveraging laws set for these financial firms and hedge funds, it will be a MAJOR help to the markets. We havent seen enough damage to hedgies yet and there hasnt been a BK victim yet of size and my gut tells me there is another shoe to drop.

All I said was that it was unfair that one mod allowed you a get out of jail card by erasing some of your posts about me in main forum and I said to Wallstreet that some of the explanations being made to me were ridiculous. Yeah the SEC is terrible, but stupid me I didnt really know that the financial firms had carte blanche to hold these things leveraged like this and that the insurers could insure billions and only have a slim percentage of cash to back it up.

You could be right about the drop being done, but to me this isnt a bear market, we ran up to historic SPX and DOW highs backed on our loose currency and loose margin rules, now we drop 20% and consider a bottom in?

I could see DOW 9k before 14k, not sure about the NAZ since it went down 50% more than the DOWN (I think the bottom was 30% from the high and very far from our historic high).

You are right about the actions of the FED cushioning the drop, and I was commenting to my inlaws that the real bandit is GREENSPAM..he walked out right before the earthquake and it is good he did. Can you imagine he heading the FED in the middle of this? He wouldnt have cut rates like this and the market would be at 10k or lower. He screwed the economy and the markets. I really dont like how the FED is trying to stop a recession, there is nothing wrong with a recession..it is healthy.
