WNBL & NBL Week #4

YTD: 11-5
So last week went 4-4, start off poorly, got a few winners during the weekend and then 0-2 on the Sunday as Melbourne did not show up against NZ and the Capitals lost by 1 point vs the Rangers in the WNBL having lead the entire game. Moving on..
We have a Wednesday night WNBL game so we have 5 straight days of Aussie ball action which I love..
The Breakers surprise package so far face the Bullets on Thursday night and then the Bullets play Melbourne again on Saturday so lets see how they shape up. The Kings are just unbackable after their recent performances and they face Illawarra at Illawarra which is always a tough place to get a win. The only thing on Sydney's side is that they at least got more than 5 days rest and very little travel from Sydney to Wollongong where the Hawks play. I have a lean for both WNBL and NBL weekend openers. Waiting for some lines on both.
BOL this week everyone..

I have underdone myself, record is actually 12-5 on the year.
So tonight's WNBL game is Adelaide vs Canberra. They have already played once this season with the Capitals winning 84-77. I am currently seeing 158.5 as the total and Adelaide -4.5. Adelaide have lost Hodges for the rest of the season, so thats one player down. The Capitals have not looked good in their last 3 games either. Tough game this one to open up the new weekend. Further investigation is required..

After reading an article today in regards to the Capitals wanting to play more defense, I think they can lock down on Adelaide tonight and keep them under a decent score because they are missing a key player tonight. The Capitals need to take advantage of that tonight as they face the Fire on Friday night so quick turn around and that game will be their 3rd game in 5 nights so tough schedule. Expect a lot of energy tonight on the boards and defense and even though the last game went over the book had that total around the 149.5-153.5 mark. The Capital want a win and in order to do that they need to defend which they have the girls to shut down Abby Bishop who is the biggest thread on the Lightning team.

Did that just happen? WOW that was a close call and the bookies are once again getting their lines super sharp. Total opened at 158.5, dropped to 157.5. Line opened at -4. went to -5 before tip off and the Lightning wins 80-77.

3pt shooting was really crazy. Every quarter always had back to back to back 3 pt shooting under a minute period. Seriously thought we were done for early 4th quarter

Hey mate,
Pending some player issues mate which I am waiting to see what happens. The Bullets have 2 guys who face the NBL Tribunal tomorrow, those 2 players are Jervis and Gibson so they are definitely important players for the Bullets so I am waiting on the outcome to see if they are playing or not.

No play on the first game. Don't want to force a play for the sake of it. Lean the Bullets because I believe that their home court is a fortress this year for them but the NZ Breakers are in good form and out of my 5 losses so far this season across both leagues, 2 of those have been on NZ games so I am not getting a good read on this team so will pass. Will look into the Perth/Hawks game.

Smart move not to play the game just to play it. Had a great day in the NBA so I'll take a chance with the home team

Yeah she is a massive loss Kriscar and she has basically been running their offense. They are trying to get an urgent application through to pick up the SEABL MVP but not sure if it has been allowed for tonight's game. She has been practising with the squad all season long but I still dont know how well she will fit into the team. Whitcomb is a shadow of herself from last season and I blame the WNBA for that as she barely got any time playing for Seattle this season. Big line, its up to -5.5 now and I would say that its either Lynx or no play. The Rangers shouldn't be laying that much on the road but it could also be a bad spot for the Lynx after playing their hearts out last week against the top team Melbourne. No play for me buddy

We back the 36ers last time these 2 teams played in Cairns but if you all remember, the Taipans were just coming back from a win in NZ and played with just 3-4 days rest. They have had 4 days rest for this game but have not left Cairns this time. In the first meeting the books had Taipans -2.5 and now there is a 4 point swing since the first meeting. The 36ers embarrassed Cairns on their own court winning 96-70 but this time around I think Cairns get their own revenge back and its very hard to win twice in a row in Cairns for any team.

The Fire coach has asked her team to shot the ball better tonight. They are the leagues worst shooting team which is so surprising when you look at their roster. These 2 teams have already met this season and the Fire won 76-65 (141 points) and the game went under. The books had that total hovering around the 151.5-154.5 mark before game time but with the comments of what the coach has said, I think we see a game that is high scoring tonight.

Thanks Kriscar... Sydney playing well up to half-time and the Boomers injuries are really hurting them this game.

The hung in their buddy for the win.. Nice going..
1-1 for me tonight. The Taipans looked awful straight after halftime and blew their 2 point lead and the 36ers took advantage..
