Hey Freddie.. Yeah no news yet of Webster that I can see. Would wait really late before playing this game mate until you get the confirmation about Webster. Without him, Perth will take this. With him, different story. As for the other game, well I lean Cairns purely because they are at home for their 2nd game straight (brutal road schedule before hand) and now face the Crocs who have been up and down and across the country lately and put up a very poor performance vs Hawks the other night.

Can't see a reason not to play NZ at home especially with Webster starting. Straight out revenge play plus they always play the cats well on their home floor.
NBL: Breakers -4.5

The Taipans have really found their offensive groove lately. Away from home they have averaged 94 points from their last 3 games against reasonable opposition, nothing about Townsville makes me think they'll be able to stop Cairns this time round.

Getting in early with these plays as I liked them straight away. Both of these teams have been offensive juggernauts this season. Illawarra have scored 96 or more points in each of their 6 home games this season and that includes 2 games against Perth and 1 each versus Cairns and NZ who are far better defensive teams than today's opponents Melbourne. Also note that the last 5 Hawks home games have gone over this total. Expect another score fest.

Maybe their TT is an automatic lock at home

I like this play a lot. I've been waiting weeks for the Perth I knew from previous seasons to show their true colours and fall over. It hasn't happened. They are the real deal and sit atop the league after belting SEQ away last weeks and running Townsville close for 3 quarters. The Lynx are loaded with proven talent including the leagues 3rd leading scorer in Sami Whitcomb as well as Sami Burton and Louella Tomlinson who are tough competitors in the paint. Dandenong had a very good win at home last week against Sydney however will still be missing Alex Bunton. I see Perth being a much tougher opposition for Dandenong and I wouldn't be surprised if the Lynx won this straight up.
WNBL: Perth Lynx +2.5

GL Freddie.. Lynx are a major improvement from what they have been over recent seasons. Do you think the Rangers are in for a letdown because they got the job done last week vs the in form Flames?

Definitely a let down situation here for Dandy Aussie. Hard to see them putting up another performance like last weeks, especially versus the form team of the comp in the Lynx.

Really like Cairns first half TT over 42.5 and the first half total over, waiting for a line on that. I see Cairns coming out hard after such a poor start versus the Crocs then we've got Sydney with their new coach who will also have a point to prove. Looking at this game a bit closer.

Cairs strong at home and have a good team. 4.5 is nothing, wouldve expected 7-8
I'm certainly leaning that way pk. Cairns will be filthy with their last effort vs the Crocs, the only question mark for me is the 'new coach' effect for Sydney. We've all seen how teams come out and perform in the first game with a new coach. Cairns are a better team IMO and should cover.

As I said above Cairns will dirty on themselves after their pathetic first half against the Crocs. Sydney don't play great defence and have given up 96 plus in their last 3 away games which bodes well for this play. Things may tighten up in the second half but I really do think Cairns will have plenty enough motivation to cover this total.
