something really smells about the Melbourne v Bendigo match in the WNBL last night. Melbourne went in on a four game skid and with news breaking early in the week that their captain and leading scorer Tess Madgen would be out with an ankle injury.
Yet when markets went up for the game yesterday, Melbourne was hammered all day from their opening line of +4 all the way to +1
For an offensively-challenged team like the Boomers to shorten so dramatically despite their leading scorer being scratched and playing a team they'd had very little joy against over the last few years.
Ranks fairly high on the WTF meter for me.
