    NBL: 28-28
    WNBL: 17-18

This round has already started on Monday night with the Wildcats beating Cairns in Perth by 10. Horrible game tonight between both teams that have no chance of making the playoffs. I did say I would keep away from this game but these lines have me thinking. The Crocs are anywhere between -4.5 and -5.5 and the total is hovering around 168.5 points.

Already have had 2 meetings this season which were both back in October with the Crocs winning the first game 80-77 in Sudney and then Sydney winning the next 87-78 in Sydney so first visit for the Kings into Northern QLD. So the games have hit 165 and 157. Both have gone UNDER this total of 168.5. The thing that stood out to me was the TT's for the Crocs and Kings. Crocs is at 86.5 and the Kings 82. The Crocs TT seems very high but I guess thats because the Kings have allowed 87 or more points 8 times from 10 road games. No defense at all on the road. The Kings have hit 83, 90, 87, 90, 68 and 89 with the return of Childress into their line-up. So you guys know what im heading towards.. Over in this potentially because they have nothing to play for and the Kings don't play defense at all..

    Gday Aussie,

My personal thoughts on this - it will either sail way over or way under. Nothing close like a 166 total or 170 total.

It will either be a totally open, free flowing game with shots being jacked up within 12 seconds of the shotclock or it will be brick city and we see some 30-35 point quarters.

I prefer to play overs because it gives me an incentive to watch the game and watch scoring; don't really enjoy watching a game hoping every shot misses and the game's played at a slow tempo!

Hey Peekay, I said the exact same thing to a work friend today.. It could be something like 92-85 or ugly as they come and something like 72-67 which we all know the Crocs can do..

Sydney Kings @ Townsville Crocs: Kings +5.5

Crocs have not won 2 straight games all season. No injury concerns from the Kings at all. Hopefully Cadee/Childress/Garleep can have one of those nights where the 3's are sinking. Actually think Cadee might be a decent match-up for Jett as Jett looks lethargic recently. Think the Kings may surprise people tonight + the 36ers only laid -9.5 last week to the Kings and didn't cover so why are the Crocs only 4 points of last week's spread? Will take the Kings tonight.

172 total needs 86-86 and I don't see that happening on a normal day. But this might just be a "fun" game for both teams so i lean over, and i think crocs are terrible so lean Kings spread but no official play

Add Childress to the long list of "big name" signings that have been  a bust in this league.

Well the Kings were covering for most of last night and then failed at the most important part of the game..

Your right Dave, Childress is another useless import in the NBL. Give me Randle over Childress any day of the week..

Hate doing this, but im taking the UNDER in tonights game. Hate going against Freddie because he is just a beast in this league but without Penney, i think there is too much added pressure on Lisch to get the offense going. The Hawks coach will hopefully put some emphasis on defense tonight and maybe slowing the game up seeing that Lisch will be by himself on offense and he will have to mark Randle. The Hawks would be insane if they want to run and gun against the 36ers without Penney.. 183.5 seems like a lot of points and this game might be like a playoff atmosphere given that the top 4 has not been decided yet in regards to positioning.

    Adelaide 36ers @ Illawarra Hawks: Under 183.5

Best of luck Aussie, might be the first time I disagree with you here. Penney is old and not one to influence the pace of the game. He is just a great shooter and scorer, but not an explosive player who wants to race up the court and score within 5 seconds of the clock.

I don't think this has a playoff aura about it; no Penney and the 36ers are quite lacsadasical in their approach to most games. There's plenty of firepower from 3 in this game with lisch, forman, gibson, randle, creek and a big inside presence with Ogilvy and Jackson.

I wish you luck, but you have my thoughts and one of us will be right :)

Cheers Peekay.. Thanks buddy. I like you and Freddie because we can all talk about the NBL and agree to disagree about certain plays and games and no one gets upset or angry about it..

Lets hope we get a game score of 182 so me and Freddie can middle it

Haha my fingers are crossed for that middle!

Best way is to discuss; Unfortunately this website is littered with trolls who will enter a thread, say the opposite side to what you're on and leave with no reasoning whatsoever.

I'm just hanging out for AFL season where my knowledge is, particularly fantasy/player props. I'm not great with basketball

Townsville Fire To make GF - Yes (Centrebet - $1.80) - WNBL

I think this is a steal.. Sydney have now lost Swords for a long time. No one to cover Batkovic if they meet post-season. Bendigo have always been a nemesis of the Fire's over the past few seasons but I think if the Fire gets home court advantage for the first round, they will be set to meet IMHO the Perth Lynx.  Townsville have the players and the coaching staff to at least make the grand final.

is all I can say... Moving on.

Sydney Uni Flames @ Townsville Fire: Fire -5.5

As explained above, no Swords for Flames is a massive loss. Tinkle does not defend well either. Batkovic to have a monster game as the Fire need to get back on track to win the league and what better way to do it in front of their home crowd. This line might rise to -8.5 by tip off IMHO.

Mitch Young and Mirko Djeric both out for Townsville tonight.
Look for The Breakers to try and exploit Townsvilles lack of quality bigs tonight.

Awesome Dave.. Thanks for those injury updates. Its now or never for the Breakers.. They needed 36ers to lose last night and then again tomorrow to have any chance..

Townsville Crocs @ NZ Breakers: Crocs TT Under 77.5

Pretty much what Freddie has pointed out. Do or die game for NZ and thanks to Dave, the Crocs have injury issues so their 2nd unit is going to be pretty thing. Crocs horrible on the road. Have only hit above this total 4 times all season against Kings x 2, NZ and Melbourne in that surprise win. Their record in NZ is atrocious, have only won twice in the past 15 games. NZ need a win badly and I think we might see some actual defense in this game from them considering the Crocs hit 89 last time they played just over a week ago in Townsville.

    Trying something different tonight..

Perth -1.5 vs Melbourne & Cairns -2.5 vs the Kings Teaser.

    Odds: $2.15

This league is so home court advantage. Perth at home amazing. Taipans at home amazing as well.

Hope not Coach.. Don't know why you like the Kings so much on the road. The 2 straight QLD games are some of the toughest games historically in the NBL. Cairns dominant at home, Kings horrible on the road.

Come on Coach... just because there are two games on the board doesn't mean a dog has to win straight up.

    Like the teaser a lot.

    Will take it...

Fire -5.5 , Crocs TT Under  Teaser (thanks Perth).

    Moving on.

    Illawarra Hawks @ Adelaide 36ers: Adelaide -2.5

3 straight dog covers yesterday in this league. Dont see that happening again tonight. After NZ's win last night, Adelaide needs this win. After this game Adelaide have NZ at home, Cairns on the road, Hawks on the road and then to finish off Perth on the road. Massive game this one. Think they get the win and cover in front of their home crowd..

    Glad I could help Erich

Just one WNBL play for me tonight.

Melbourne Boomers @ Perth Lynx: Over 147.5

Melbourne played last night and put up 47 points. Yep, you heard it, 47 points and allowed 70 vs Adelaide. B2B now from Adelaide across to Perth is brutal. The line is -13.5 with my book and I don't like that too much but I do like this as I think Perth will use the fatigue of Melbourne to really run and gun in this game. The line is possible for a backdoor cover IMHO and I don't trust it so will take the over where I think Perth will do majority of the scoring tonight and hopefully Melbourne can make some points up as well.
