Yep.  Brissy hold their own against the Swans, just as the line suggested they would when the money kept pouring in on the Swans yet the line went from 39.5 to 36.5 to 34.5 and the ML from $1.10 to $1.18.

Just hoping my boys hold on.  A loss would be embarrassing.

OK, let's root for an 11-point Carlton win.

    Took the Over as well.

    What the hell.

If it's 36-15 at Halftime, I'll be drunk off of Blanton's anyway to care much.  Hahaha.

BTW, looked at the match-up between the bottom 3 teams of last year's ladder.  Every single match between two of those three went over tonight's total.

Of course, this year's Essendon are a special lot.

These teams are pathetic.  I got fooled again.  Just when you think they couldn't get any worse to the next round, they do.

They couldn't hit the side of the Empire State Building from 10 metres away.

    Awful.

Only 1 Q down, but yeah, not looking good.

I disowned the Swans last season... But fortunately they admitted that they didn't bring it and are playing better this year. At the same time, it's performances like today that are 100% consistent with us getting bamboozled by Hawthorn in Grand Finals and whenever they want, frankly. Need a new coach for a start, imho.

Well, the over is toast half way through 2nd.

On a related note, I find it interesting that so many teams in AFL gamble with long shots on goal (say 40+ from 60 degree or more angles). Probability of success with a set play to get it closer has to better than these pretty boys manage (and they're super hard shots to hit consistently). Better off to put it up close and let your boys go for it... If you don't have the coaching finesse to design or personnel to execute reasonable plays from that kick.

The boys who know how to kick can get away with it.  Or if they miss they usually set up a nice rebound.  Or if their defence is superior, they don't mind the behind as it just puts more pressure on the opposing 50.

And out of all the creative ways the Aussies have of kicking their ball, I am still shocked they have not mastered the horizontal straight shot, or basically, the U.S. punt kick.  So many straight shots from 20-ish metres and they bend it off for a behind or even out on the full.

Turn the ball horizontal and you have twice a big of center to kick.  When you don't need distance, just a straight line, this kick can't be beat.  Especially when you have these slobos who should be in the VFL or SANFL playing first team footie in the AFL.  Blows my mind.

    Goalless 2nd Term.

Gone big on the Over 189.5 in Eagles/Pies.  Had to go against myself as I am an Under player but this round has been upside-down so too am I going.

Next round I am going to forget these silly line moves and backwards plays and just go back to what I usually do, statistics and histories.  This round has me all twisted from the beginning.  Liked the North Under, Port with the line, Brisbane with the line, didn't play any of them.  Hahaha....

Now watch I get screwed on the ones I do play.

Let's hope for Carlton by 11.

Indeed... Got to go with what you know...

1 point 10 mins into 3Q of Carlton match...

I don't like totals generally, but they've bailed me from faulty line plays this round... Good luck mate

Well, there's a reason why you play your leans.

And a reason why Unders are winners in the AFL.

    Hee hee!

Just terrible hijinks.  All my leans came in and I stayed off of them (North Under, Port, Brisbane, Carlton) only to not play them, change my mind on Carlton, and then take a flier on the West Coast Over.  HAR HAR HAR!!!

Funny thing is, that West Coast Over should have hit.  The final behind in the game with three minutes to go was a dead-set goal, but the umpire said it might have knicked a player's shoe or grazed his shirt.  The video ref took a look and they replayed it a few times, the ball NEVER changed trajectory.  If it did hit, it was a millimeter and a slight whiff.  Video ref said he couldn't tell one way or the other (=didn't hit) so he referred it back down to the umpire and he said behind, no goal.  That was a 5-point differential and the Under hit by 4.  HAHAHA!

At any rate, it's all good.  Got smashed after that and made it back on doubles challenger tennis from Asia.  Hahaha...

Agree on Eagles Over, ur play was good.

Putting Round 6 to bed, if I've tallied correctly land at
    5-6 for the round.
