Speaking as a CANUCKS fan.....keep an eye on the BLUE& GREEN.  Canucks still have some cap room & GILLIS has been keeping tabs on Bouwmeester for a few weeks.

Hey j-rock..... yeah man....that's the vibe I'm getting.  I think the LEAFS are also ready to blow it all up and re-build.  The main advantage the AVs have...is all their players are still valued.  Can't say that about all the leaf players.

Also..on a gut-feel.....with no rumors......i really think a team might take a run at SHANNY for some character and grit.  Only a team that is a few foot-soldiers away from making a serious run at Stanleys Mug.

Bouwmeester would be a HUGE move for the Nucks, but I really feel Florida would be extremely foolish to let him leave.  They have a real shot at surprising someone in the first round with the talent they have and they need to lock Jay up long term. 

To bad they wouldnt trade him within the division.  He's the missing piece the Caps crave.

Not sure if some or all of this has been posted, but here's what I got from Yahoo...

(At the very least) the Habs, Flames, Wild, and Jackets are interested in Olli Jokinen.

Bruins, Devils, and Sharks are the most interested in scoring Pronger.

Any rumors about Frolov to Pittsburgh for Staal are allegedly false.

Niedermayer not likely to be traded.

i'm just glad the Caps didn't land guerin like they were supposed to, they would be an even bigger problem for my Bruins then.

Boston radio is rumouring Patrice Bergeron and a few picks to Anaheim for Chris Pronger is on the table.
 
Got this from hockeyleaks.com I might not mind this, if the B's can get a trade to repace Bergy up front.

BRUINS [or any team for that matter] are smart to trade from their strengths.  The B's have numerous talented forwards, so they can afford to move a decent forward for Pronger.  If I was a B's fan, I'd go for it.  Plus Bergeron has a shady future, with his concussion issues.  They still are loaded up front with Kreici , Savard, Ryder, Wheeler, Lucic, Kessell .....etc... [missing somebody..i know it lol]
 
Could you imagine the spoked ''B'' getting Pronger, then separating him from Chara.  They both log 35 - 40 minutes.  Basically, the opposinhg forwards would be continually facing Chara or Pronger for the full 60 minutes.  CRAZY.

yes thats why i like the move, i was hoping they could send axelsson somewhere, but i guess we'll see.  i did really like their depth at centre though, but this is a good move for the B's especially because bergeron's concussions have hindered his game slightly.

Bruins D would look like this with Pronger possibly:
 
Chara - Wideman
Pronger - Ference
Hnidy - Ward
Stuart - Hunwick (as spares)
 
With Chara and Pronger together on the PP.  May also Keep Hunwick on Forward as thats where he has been the past Game and will be there again tonight.

They Probably did, But Boston isn't giving him up. however i saw the players they were demanding from St. Louis and this seems to be a lot less.

Not sure the Guerin to DC thing is dead yet.  Caps trying everything in their power to get someone to take Nylander.  If they are successful, that opens room for Guerin, but the Caps NEED defense.  Guerin would be a great fit, but with the limited Cap room, I'd greatly prefer a blue-liner

Antropov and Moore to sit out the Leafs game tonight, meaning offers must be coming in for them, Moore and the leafs were unable to make a contract agreement.

TDD you make good points, likely why he is not the most desired player to get at the trade deadline right now, but a team with cap space could use a veteran like him. Surprised Columbus isn't after him.

I wouldn't mind MN trading him, but his worth is virtually gone coming off surgery and I don't see them trading them to a rival so he can torment them for 5-7 years. 

I think he goes to the east in free agency.
