Hearing weird (and probably unfounded) rumors on the radio about Leclaire going to the Leafs for Stajan.

i woulnd't be shocked, the jackets have a goalie to deal and the jackets need a center. but with Leclaire age etc. i would think the jackets would want more than just Stajan, proably a prospect or a pick as well IMO.

Leclaire is a good goalie when HEALTHY, whenever that is. However the leafs are likely looking at him as a back up which would be a great step in the right direction for them. 
 
As for the Bruins, if they trade Kessel i think they will regret it. at this point they should be looking to add one more forward, possibly Tkatchuk or Guerin, to add some serious depth to an allready deep team.  However if they could swing the deal that was supposedly proposed involving a 1st and 3rd rounder and Joe Colburne for Kaberle it would be awesome as they would not lose any roster players.

Havelid is a 35 year old mediocre d-man and will be an UFA in July. Not a lot of trade value there.

good point, atleast with a young D-man there is a good chance he will be hitting his potential within the next couple of years.

Burke talking down about Tosakla as well as Toskala talking about probably needing surgery nixed any chance of the Leafs getting something for him. They definitely don't need Leclaire, IMO. They still need to spend the rest of this year and some of next year deciding if Pogge is a starter or a backup. If the answer is that he's a backup, THEN you worry about a goalie. No sense in trading for a goalie that you're unsure will ever be healthy again (seems to get injured a lot).

They would only have to pay half his contract. With Dallas being stuck with the other half for the life of the whole deal. I think the cap hit for NY would be like 2 million a year. Not all that bad.

I'm pretty sure they are just about that under the cap. Might have to cut someone like Aaron Voros (no loss there).

Lot of players put on waivers today. I don't understand why TB would put Roberts on waivers. You'd think they could get a pick for him.

This isn't my area... I can pick winners but not trades.  But the Pens need a good winger.  Actually I really like Antropov, I'd like to see him come to pittsburgh just so that I can get an Antropov jersey without having that stupid leaf on the front.

The Pens tried to make a deal with Ottawa to get Ruutu back, but it fell through. 

The Pens will be buyers tomorrow for sure, which is why they dumped Satan.

Columbus and Ottawa are currently in talks concerning LeClaire for Vermette.  Columbus also has their eye on Connolly as they need help up front.

The  WINGED-WHEEL is rumored to be making a run at AV's Ian Lappierre or the SENS Chris Neil.
 
I'd like to see LAPPY in VAN.

He got off to a great start this season and has been shit since.

He is basically a poor-man's Sean Avery anyway.....no need to keep both of them on the team.

They also cut Eric Reitz. Got him in a trade with Minnesota about 6 weeks ago and he has done nothing either other than fill in when Mara and Kalinin were hurt....thats about it.

Most teams are looking for character or sandpaper for a deep playoff run.  I think Ian Lappierrre could be the missing puzzle piece for a lot of teams.
