So what does history tell us about teams down 0-3 at home and on the road

Let's start off in Detroit where the Wings dropped thier first two games and lost another, with what everyone thought was a must win for the Wings. The road team sweeps 64.6% of the time in this situation for all series.  If we are talking about the Qrts, the road team wins game 4 at a 66.7% clip. 

So considering that the Wings are -140 right now, the Sharks are a real bargin.  Again the oddsmakers know the public will be all over the Wings because they "have to win"

But history tells a completely different story.  Are you going to be defeated by history or use it to be the winner ?

B's going for the sweep here, now this is a complete reverse as opposed the other series.  B's sweep in Philly and come home to win game 3 in impressive style and now going for the sweep.

So ya think Philly just has to win this game to save face and go back home ?

Not often will a road team sweep the first two games on the road, so there isn't a ton of data, but enough to get an idea.

 The home team sweeps 62.9% of the time in this situation for all series.  If we are talking about the Qrts, the home team has went 4-5.  So considering you can get Philly at +152 right now, that looks like a pretty good deal. In fact wait as late as you can and you will probably get a better line.

It tells me that if the Wings get swept tonight I'll be puking at the Joe
