1 Pick so far for tonight:
Stars @ Kings Kings first period tie no bet +114
The stars haven't played a game in 5 days with their last game being against Detroit. My hypothesis is that coasting against detroit + 5 day break = Slow start
The flip side of this is the kings have lost 2 in a row and are playing their 4th game in a row at home so no traveling angles. The kings play hard but struggle to score. I think the kings want this game more and come out of the gate ready to go.
I realize the 5 days rest for the stars can be interpreted either way. (the flip side being 5 days lots of rest should be ready to go.) But I think the fact that they played the wings in their last game is key. Detroit is so bad that if they pick up where they let off they are not going to have a fun start. I have observed that teams do not play as well the next game after playing detroit this season. Good Luck to everyone tonight!

Watching LA this year I can totally see an early game domination with only a 1 goal lead to show for it and then 1 bad bounce and the whole game turns on a dime! Didn't really love the board this morning but had the day off sick so I did some serious digging today and was able to find some picks I really liked! I never posted anything on the jets pick but the basic reasoning was I was leaning Jets. (to much of a box to take them on the ML
) and My thinking was that it was going to be a 5-4, 7-3 type affair so When I saw Jets o2.5 it was kind of like a safety of those 2 points. (No way jets were gonna win 2-1 against this leafs team.) Also this is my leaf hate coming out again but I figured even if leafs had a classic leafs game where the put up a ton of goals quick. They aren't disciplined enough to get a big lead and stay on the gas.
Seeing alot of people here on the stars so now that my 1st period pick cashed I am a stars fan for the rest of tonight! Hope everyone had a good night!

Jets @ Bruins under 6 -113
Although they beat Toronto last night I think the amount of goals they ended getting was not a good representation of how they played offensively. With the one early fluke goal and the shorthanded breakaway goal they scored goals but I don't look at goals like that as playing good offensively more-so taking advantage of an opportunities Toronto's defense gave them. I don't think the bruins are going to give them as many of those opportunities to cash in. All this being said I thought the Jets played a good game and a good effort from them could also help minimize the bruins scoring so that pushes me to the under.

Blues in regulation -132: The blues have been lights out at home this year and I like this price against a sabres team that they lost to in their last meeting. (Which happened before the sabres started stinking lol) I think they take care of business like they often do at home as I like how the blues match-up against weaker teams. They tend to be no BS get the job done type team. (As opposed to my bruins who are talented but can't seem to take care of those crap teams nearly as easily.)
Yotes @ Lightning Yotes ML +185: I understand Tampa is rolling and the Yotes have Hill in net but I can't figure out how it is this high. The Yotes have made me some money this year and I really how they play. I think this could be a good spot, Looking at Tampa's season they are 0-2 after beating the previous team by more than 5 goals and don't fair to well after blowouts in general. I think Arizona is too talented a team to be given this price is the bottom line so i'll take a stab at it.
Kings @ Vegas under 6 -121: I been saying this for a bit now but I actually like how the kings play they just can't score! I think they are a disciplined team that will come to play even after the back to back. The way they are playing I think they could lose every game and stay under the total so i'll take the 6.
Stars @ Ducks over 5 -137: It's really hard not to take the 5 and I'm glad I didn't against the kings. That being said I'm slightly leaning Ducks in this game and couple that with the stars on a B2B and them having a game to warmup after their long rest I think the juices get flowing again and we see some scoring! (Another note: Gibson hasn't been stellar in his last couple starts so that's just another reason for me if this goes the stars way instead of the ducks.)
My favourite thing is when you can justify a total from looking at it from both sides of the ML!

I'm also hesitating lol. I just am laying off because I think both teams are being underpriced as of late so when they meet I feel conflicted. and as for the total I was also heavy leaning under but it just doesn't feel right lol so I can't take it. I'm keeping my eye of this game for some intel for their next couple games respectively.

Sens @ Red Wings Sens ML -121
The senators currently on a 5 game losing with their last couple of losses being against very tough teams. (6-1 loss to Washington and a 5-3 loss to Tampa) My experience from playing on a bad hockey team is after getting beat up twice in a row by teams of a higher caliber, you can’t wait for a game like this against a semi even rival. Detroit overall has seemed lifeless this year. I think the young Sens sense this opportunity to get a win tonight and don’t want to waste it while the red wings just beat a shit Habs team and scratched that win itch.
