I agree with wawakid. Det seemed scary because they played Columbus who has absolutely no offence and Det's goaltending is suspect. If Anaheim doesn't get into a shootout with Det and keeps the games low scoring, watch Ana sneak past them. Anaheim in 6.

GO HAWKS!!! But, I have to be realistic and that the Nucks are hot! Hawks will be dangerous in the years to come but feel the Nucks pull this out in 6 games. Should be a good series. GL Clepto and may the best team win.

Easy clepto calgary was banged up I give you that,but you seem to forget that the hawks shut down iginla and if they do the same to the twins this might go seven.

The twins are in a contract year. Nobody is shutting them down and the Canucks D-men will beat the piss out of the small and young Hawk stars. Toews is hurting as well. Nucks in 5.

I still like Vancouver to go deep but this is going to be a tough series.
You can say what you want about Calgary missing their D-men for parts but the reality was Chicago was very impressive in that series and they really took it to the Flames. I thought they would be like the Blues and just be too young and have that "happy to be there" attitude. But no, this team is prepared and ready to compete right now.
Yes, Vancouver swept the Blues but 3 of those games were very close and in reality Vancouver wasn't all that impressive against a young, inexperienced team that they should have pounded. If the Blues had capitalized on some of their PP and 2 man advantage chances (like you'd expect a veteran team to do) then those 3 tight games could have actually gone the other way. Instead they showed their inexperience and went 1 for 24 on the PP. It just seemed like STL gave the series away, not that Vancouver actually went out and won it.
I think this is will be a tight series and every game will be tightly contested, probably even a 7 game series and the prices confirm my suspicions. Canucks Nation is going to be in for a scare in the next 2 weeks.

hawks better record, more points, scored more goals and gave up less goals but canucks get home ice?? LOL Love how they give it to division elader voer better record. no way hawks would get home ice being same division as my wings. lol

A true fan does not bet against his team. If he isnt sure, he lays off the game. I know I always get bashed for this opinion but if you bet against your team ever then you are not a fan and you are more of a gambler. I ,like Clepto, choose to keep that part separate and root for our teams as fans. It may sound stupid but I enjoy being a fan of my team I enjoy rooting for them and I would rather keep the "innocence" of rooting as a fan separate from my betting on games.

People are giving the Hawks too much credit for beating Kipper and the Flames. The 4-0 game in Chicago late in the season is what this series is going to look like. I love this series for Vancouver. Keep betting the Hawks, someone has to pay the Vancouver players.
