Yes, OVi didn't put his stamp on the game last night, but it wasn't like Crosby led Canada to victory.  7 goals for Team Canada, 0 points for Sid the Kid.  Canada played a great game and was the better team, but don't make last night about Ovechkin vs. Crosby.

I was simply responding to this statement you made basically saying Ovechkin is not a "champion type player" because he did not have a good game last night.  Crosby didn't have a good game either, so is he not a "champion type player?"  Now we all know this is not true, since Crosby has been there before, but just because Team Canada was miles ahead of Russia last night, don't bash Ovechkin.  I agree that the comment you were responding to was uncalled for, but don't call into question Alex Ovechkin's pedigree.

what about the stanley cup ring he won last year and will probably repeat in the next couple years. At 22 he's still a kid playing against men.

Crosby won a gold medal in the world juniors, they beat the Ovechkin led Russians

Crosby and the penguins beat out an Ovechkin led Capitol team last year to win their first cup since the lemieux and Jagr era

He may have been pointless against the Russians on thursday but it's not like Ovechkin lit up Luongo.

Great OFFENSIVE player but not a complete player at all.

He plays one end of the ice...he does not backcheck at all and frankly whines whenever he gets touched.

Maybe the best Offensive skills in the Game but clearly lacks at the other end of the ice and that is why I do not consider him as highly as others do.

Some say he is a diver and a box but that goes too far...just a great one way player.
