Sorry Weeble, but, in all honesty it sounds like you're crying because you're Canadian. I see all kinds of bashing on teams and fans of teams all the time...I get it myself ALL the time because I am a Lakers fan. I don't see anybody getting boxed or banned when they're bashing the Lakers or the Cowboys or the Yankees or whoever it might be. So in this case, it really seems that since you're Canadian you should take the heat like a man (like the rest of us do when our teams get bashed), take a loss like a man. A win is a win, a loss is a loss. But to forewarn everybody that anything they say against Canada or anybody else will not be tolerated is quite ridiculous in my opinion, again especially considering what goes on year round in these forums. You guys don't care when us Laker fans get bashed, or when Yankee fans get bashed, etc... So why care now? That's my 2 cents and I hope you can take it, it's not meant to offend you or anyone else...simply my opinion. I used to post in these forums on a daily basis, now I just peruse through for picks from certain solid cappers, but, I felt the need to comment on this because I don't like double-standards. By the way, I'm tailing you with the U.S. -2.5, Canada ML, and Sweden -1 tonight...good luck!
If you feel that I'm crying, then you don't know me very well at all. There is no need to bash a country and call Canadians idiots, etc. If you knew anything about me, you'd know that this post would have gone up had the roles been reversed with Canada winning and people bashing the US. As well, you obviously didn't see the bashing. It wasn't..."Canada-the-team sucks". It was "Canadians are idiots and assholes." I think you can agree that that kind of statement brings nothing to a discussion.

While I will absolutely respect weeb's post here (and follow the guidelines accordingly), I would also like to say that some of you need maybe a shot or two of testosterone.
I, personally, have never ONCE bashed somone for making a losing pick. But I can't just sit back and let somone post pure nonsense and say nothing. If I think someone is way off base, I'm going to discuss it with him. Doesn't mean I have to say he sucks, but I'm going to disagree and I'm going to tell him or her why.
I know I can leave whenever I want, but it seems that many in here think a "great" forum is where everyone pats each other on the back and says, "great job" no matter what they say. What is wrong with some spirited discussion/disagreement if you can keep the "you suck" and related items out of it?
I come here to challenge and be challenged because I think it makes me smarter and it helps me to look at things maybe differently then I would have before. Not to defend anyone, but I think the people who are making these statements are directing it to the "CANADIAN HOCKEY TEAM". And not all canadians in general. Some statements can go both ways. Just my 2 cents

I did not visit the forum that night because I figured there would be a decent amount of that going on and I didn't want to get involved (being I was pretty emotionally fired up and had too many beers).
We're on the same page.

However, as I did say to some of my brothers to the North, if people start threads like "Canada wins by how much?" or we shouldn't be on the same ice?, don't be surprised if they come back IF you don't win.
