i have yet to see it help a team win a game. i have seen it cost a couple of teams a win.

There are no analytics in this universe that support that. especially for a home favorite trailing by a TD in the 4th, Only 2 explanations are conceivable; the coach took an attitude(done lost his mind) or it's based on some gambling fix. The thinking is...you have more than a 50% chance to convert a 2 pt conversion from such a short distance. If you make it, then next td you can win the game with a conventional td conversion. If you don't make it, and you score another td, then you have another chance at a 2 pt'r to tie, and the chance of 0-2 on 2 pt conversions is pretty small

If that is the case,  every thing is 50%. QBs should just throw 50+ yard bombs every play, 50% chance receiver will catch it? Just be happy if you were on the right side and got the win. Trying to argue when it's pretty obvious what just happened and how it impacted the spread/outcome is just ridiculous. Just like 2 weeks ago, everyone trying to argue that it was pass interference on the rams game when most people that are not blind and handicapped knows the truth 

No. absolutely No.  Extra points are as close to certainty as it gets. 1 of 2 0r 2 0f 2, 2 point conversions have way lower odds. home team favorite with a 4th q comeback have a very high percentage chance of winning in OT.  There is no logic,computer algorithm or other reason to go for2. I had the under for the game,so don't care but if you think there was any football reason to go for 2, you are wrong and maybe should stay away from betting a sport you don't know

there is always some.ass hard in here explaining why you don't kick FG or go for 2 point.  But  really we all know it makes no sense unless they are gambling
