Myself boycotting the game.. Its not the cost 5.99 no real factor in my boycott.. Its the ideal behind the game.. IMO this game is a "test balloon "  ... If millions sign up it will probably be the start of pay for view future playoff games..  Soon you will pay for every game out of your local viewing area..  Low  turnout could stem  the tide for awhile...  Got YOU TUBE.. Amazon.. for NFL.. Now Peasucks... nope ...  Throw the tea overboard.. 

Football is approaching the unwatchable stage as it is. Now they want the viewers to jump through another hoop to test how much $ they can wring out of it.

Huge money for NBC Universal to pay NFL for just one playoff game, appears to be a harbinger for NFL and media company in the money matters. 

I've been saying for years, it's only a matter of time before the Superbowl is a PPV event.

They want to get the Swifties on board that haven't already signed up for the service and hopefully they'll stick around and don't cancel. A census said 44% of us adults identify as Swifties. There's at least 250 million adults in america so that's at least 100 mi potential subscribers. Peacock has 30 million subs currently but they probably aren't all Swift fans. If Peacock can get at least half of the Swifties to sign up that's almost 300 mil in potential profit at $5.99 

But I agree with you the ramifications could be bigger down the road. Streaming PPV is scary indeed. Football is popular because it's so accessible, NFL better think twice

Go to the car to watch the game for free.  You still have to buy overpriced beer and tease the game.  

Help support your nation's economy.  Stop patching up your old underwear and buy new.

so dont buy it.  Peacock isnt the first to do exclusive ownership of a sport or sporting event and it wont be the last.  Streaming is the future it seems.  
There are economical ways to get Peacock depending on your cable provider (if you have one).  New signups probably get some discount.  

there are also the free streams that exist so that's another way to watch it without having to pay.  

you can boycott it and complain about it but I dont think things are going to change

NBC Paid $110 mil to have it exclusively. NFL says thank you and GL ! By my calculations NBC will need to sub 18.34 mil just to break even lol.. usually the average viewership on the playoffs is around 30 mil or so. peak playoff time around 40mil. They're not getting the best KC offense either so we'll see how many are willing to pay lol

I don't live in the US any more and the only cable company that carries NFL games is a company that I hate (called SKY) and they want stupid money for their sports package because it includes soccer (which I have only passing interest in)

So I stream every game illegally. I have an app on my phone provides like 6 links for every game and I can cast it to my TV if at home or watch it anywhere I happen to be.

I probably couldn't get Peacock even if I wanted to but have fun paying for a game which features two teams that forget how to score at halftime. Funk that.

I hope no one pays for it. I wouldn't. If I didn't know any good stream sites i would just go to a bar instead even tho it would end up costing me more I just wouldn't want them to think they're onto a good thing with this pay per view crap.

Here in Toronto I’ve got the game scheduled on CTV where I expected it to be? My thoughts are what about the old timer Kansas City fan who just wants to enjoy the game doesn’t even have a bet and now we have to explain what the fuck Peacock is to this person, I’m 32 had no clue what the fuck peacock
