What's everyones deal with Joe Buck ?

I see everywhere people just hammering this guy, and even Aikman sometimes, and I'm wondering what everyone hates him so much for

I don't think the guy is the greatest ever or anything like that at all but I'm not wanting to kill myself listening to him call a game like some people make it out to be.

So whats everyones deal with him?

I like the 2 of them together. Aikman is a good announcer... 

The best is coach gruden and it's not even close.

Gruden?...He is the absolute worst, are you kidding me?...Troy has been hit too many times. Buck is just fine...Coach Gruden?...HAHAHA!....The "coach" switches his praises on every play..OMG!!!

They have to do that to cover each player... the other guys do that as well... it's just a tv thing otherwise it gets one sided. They need to talk good about everyone when good and bad about everyone when bad. They all do that... gruden is a football guy. He knows his stuff 

it's his voice primarily... and the way he inflects his voice at times... gets very annoying

Bunny 24, get off the pipe ! Gruden is hands down the best ! You don't get that gig if you're not good , he also is carrying a basketball guy btw who is doing pretty well . Why shouldn't he be , he went to Syracuse.

Not to mention he never played football and got his job based on his dads abilities....

Tonight's grudens grinder is Sean lee 610 tackles 3 forced fumbles and 8 interceptions!! This kid played lights out!!! 

Phil Simms certainly know his stuff... you can't deny that... but I just can't stand his delivery.  It always seems as if he is shouting, to me, for lack of a better description.

I, for one, think Buck and Aikman are very, very good. Aikman has gotten a LOT better since his very first year as a color-man.

One of my favorite color commentators from years ago was Merlin Olsen.

They are both the biggest Cowboy homers it's impossible to listen to their broadcast.

Gruden has become a caricature of the fake Gruden. He's more there for the ironic comedic effect. I think Mike Tirico is the best. He never annoys me and he knows his stuff. I think Joe Buck is really good too. He does have a announcery voice but he knows how to sell the drama pretty well. Al Michaels annoys me with his forced gambling references at the games every week. I think he's a bit overrated due to calling that Miracle On Ice game. Bring back John Madden.

I still like Al Michaels the best. Good ole Al. 

I think Carpinteria is in fact Joe Buck. It's because he is (you are) a pompous jack@ss who was born on third base and still believes he hit a triple. What some would call stoic I call smug. He comes off like he thinks he's rhe sh#t when in fact he is just sh#tty. And he has zero personality.

I loved when Pat Summerall was getting old and always seemed drunk. He would say some of the most random offbeat stuff. My brother and I would be calling each other like, "Did you hear what Pat just said? What the h#ll is he talking about?" It was great.

I've disliked Joe Buck ever since he was starring in porn movies in the 70's. His football commentating is so predictable, praise the team winning and dog the team losing. And I never liked any of his movies.

This kind of abuse and harassment for no apparent reason comes with age...just ask any older person for the details. 

guys like Gruden, MikeTirico, Gus Johnson, Bill Walton,  those guys make the games fun.  Aikman, Buck  make the games boring.

He`s also turned down kids asking for autographs in nasty ways!!

I think people have an intrinsic feeling that Joe Buck is not very talented at broad casting. He doesn't offer any real substance to the games. Probably would have never risen through the ranks if his dad wasn't a well known broadcaster.  I get the feeling he is not really interested in sports.  

As a Cowboy fan, I feel like Troy Aikman hates the Cowboys. He was praising the Packers and especially A. Rodgers all game long when they played in week 6. I called into my local radio station 105.3 The Fan because I couldn't understand why Aikman hated the Cowboys. They said they get that question all the time. My thought is that it is a Jerry Jones thing. I have no idea why the Packer fans would be complaining.
