The useful next step is to freeze each trend before the games and show its full definition: date range, closing-line source, qualifying teams, exclusions, and how many other trends were tested. A 27-18 record is interesting, but at standard vig it can still be noise, especially if it was selected after scanning many splits.

I have been using trends for sports betting going back to early 2000.. DB has data going back to 1990. Whatever favorable trend i find that hits 60% or better is what i use. It has worked well for me for the last 20+ years. I had 1 losing season taking into consideration the vig. This is a hobby not my job.
