Vikings @ Bears - MrHeadache's Major Move

IMO, it's not about the tiff Favre had with Chilldress.....it's not about just about Favre's recent late season struggles.  It's whether you believe MN's offensive line will block people and how much you trust Cutler.  Cutler is better at home, but they are still in some deep $hit on defense missing personnel.  MN last to AZ team a few weeks ago that just jumped on them.  Then they lost to a Carolina team that is playing VERY well.  Bears aren't even in the same zip code as those two teams.

Only way the Bears keep this close is if they have one of those "show up for national TV in order to avoid embarassing themselves" and MN's offensive line sucks.

MN's bounceback ability has been great this year, but this one is on the road.  I'm also worried about the wind....not the cold, but the wind. 

I think Chicago is just out-personneled in this one and MN wins by 10ish.  Not betting it myself.....just throwing in my $.02. 

I can't help but think that the Minny runs the ball alot untill in the red zone area...then tosses a few. That inturn causes a low total. Under the total for me and a Viking -7(grabed yesterday morning) cover. Say they win by 10-12pts. What ya think on the total?

Nice write up Mr.  H.  I agree with you on a lot of points.  I’m confident the Vikings win by 10+.  When I think about ways to beat up the Vikings Defense 2 things come to mind.

1.  Physical receivers – the bears don’t have them

2.  quick accurate 3 step drop passer – Cutler is erratic

I just don’t see the Bears putting up over 14 pts.

On the offensive end for MN, I think the Favre/Childress disagreement came at the right time for a few reasons.

1.  Favre will stick to the gameplan and realize that just because there are 8 men in the box doesn’t mean you should audible to the pass every time.

2.  With less audibles there will be less confusion for the Offensive line

3.  the receivers and o-line are much more healthy than they have been the last few weeks.

MN is a great team that public has been doubting a lot the last few weeks because of 2 poor games and a blown out of proportion coach/player disagreement.  MN shows everyone tonight that they are the elite in the NFC.

1.The betting percentages from covers site are the picks we make through wagerline, nobody puts anymoney on any of the covers %'s, not logans %. - That's what I already said....

2. Bears are 10-0 last 10 w/temp uner 38, along with brett favre's 1-7 in his last 8 with the temp under 34. - That's completely fine...but again, look at those games...how good were the Bears...they have been pretty good the last few years, except this year....so their last 10 is flawed...show me something recent that I should care about

3.Torn BIcep, you gonna fall for the Legend of Favre. If it was that bad, he would not have pleyed. It couldn't have been more than a strain. - Must of been serious, just ask the Jets front office and coaching staffed that got fined in the 6 digits for not releasing the injury details

4.His final game as a Packer was a freezing hell house that he threw the game winning TD, to the NY Giants! So how good was that team? I guess they were shit since they made it to the NFC CHampionship game! - Sounds like you are either, A.) pissed of Packer fan, or B.) pissed off still for betting the Packers that game....get over it...it was one game....going to crucify a guy for one play????  Ever thought that maybe the Giants were the better team, especially considering they beat every NFC team that year in the playoffs on the road, and then went into the Super Bowl as one of the biggest dogs ever and beat the Previously unbeaten Pats SU

5.It just happens he lost a freezing game in Chicago right before the playoffs started and man, he did not want to be there, just like he will not want to be there tonight! - Oh really?  What makes you think he doesnt want to be there?  The fact that if he loses he will have travel and play some football in the playoffs away from his friendly Dome where it is always 68-70 degrees.  And his MNF stats over his career would suggest that Favre doesnt want to play on MNF tonight against the Bears....great reasoning there

6.As a son of a Viking fan and someone who grew up in minnesotta(my dad), we all know the Vikings ALWAYS find a way to choke it down the tubes. They started 7-0 one year and didn't make the playoffs! THey are as bad as the Denver Broncos, my team. - Again....sounds like a lot of emotion is involved in your reasoning here....thats a bad sign for a gambler....guess it wasnt A, or B from the above question...it was just you hating against Favre in general

7.If they needed these wins so bad, how come they couldn't beat a second string QB in Matt Moore and if you look at their schedule, they beat Cleveland, Detroit, and St Louis on the road before beating GB in a thriller and lost to Pitts, AZ, and Carolina in their last 3 road games. I am going out on a limp and say the road has taken its toll on the vikes at the end of this season. - I am not going to make excuses....they lost...I actually expected them to lose vs. Arizona....and Carolina has played very solid as of late...check them out...The Vikings have been dealing with injuries, and you are right...the road is playing a toll on them...but the Bears are not anywhere close to the Vikings league...injuried or not, road games playing a toll on them or not....the Vikings are in a way different league than the Bears...it will show tonight

8. Squarest Play of the week, right next to Indy -3.5
