Great write up, but a market close to one of the teams is always going to be more skewed, trust me, I live 5 minutes from Notre Dame and they walk on water haha. I know people around my area think Green Bay is a gift. A lot of Bears fans so they hate GB but still think they are unbeatable. I know how important it is to get the public view and go opposite when line moves. Also always good to have those jinx friends :) Nice, just had one that gets cut off from the bookie every few weeks ask me to get Houston in for him for $50. Sounds like steak and beer for 2nd game hahaha.

This isnt Brett Favre we are talking about. So all that 07 giants crap can go out the window. Rodgers dont try and throw into triple coverage, he knows his limits and when that pass rush comes in on him, he will run with the ball. Brett didnt run, he alwys thought pass first and second and third. Those quick slants to Jennings and Nelson will be open. He will work the middle with Finley and Driver and dump it down low to Starks and Grant. And when you aint looking for it BAM! deep to Nelson down the sideline or down the middle to Jennings. Pack will pull away in the 3rd and not look back. Bring on the Niners.

The Giants regular season is really irrelevant in this game. If u think the Packers are gonna win easily, thats fine. This year they have played games without Tuck, Osi,Bradshaw, Snee,Bass, Ballard, Manningham, Nicks, Boley, Phillips. Theyre all healthy now.Look at the Packers regular season last year. They had awful games. But by the time the playoffs rolled around they were a completly different team and steamrolled everyone.

i work with tons of packer fans an i told them myself that packers losing a game before the playoff would probably be a good thing. i just dont think that offensive line is very good.

i am on the gmen, got them at 9 and bought up 2 pts to make it 11 last monday when the lines came out. i think this is going to be a great game with packers having an advantage because of home field.
but as i always say you can make a case for any team or which ever team you think is going to win. always still a 50/50 shot. just be on the right side...lol

The 2 reasons I think the game is gonna be close is the giants led the league in big plays and the packers gave up the most big plays. Even though Charles Woodson is still a ballhawk he was burnt on a co9nsistent basis this year. Tramond Williams came back down to earth this year and their other 2 corners blow.
2nd is GB has absolutely no pass rush. They were 27th in the league which is hard to believe considering they played with the lead the whole year. And to totally ignore the Giants pass rush is foolish. Aaron Rodgers was actually sacked 8 more times then Eli despite throwing 90 less passes. Baluga coming back is big for them. Clifton however looked awful against detroit and hes not gonna be able to deal with Osi and JPP. I see it being like 30-27 game either way.

There are key differences compared to the Giants/Pats SB.
The Pack are at home. The SB is a neutral site.

I really don't think this Giant team is as gutsy or talented. Why would they be? One dominant win of the Falcons? Victor Cruz can only have so many breakaway runs to give the Giants early cushions. Also, that line was 12.5 I believe. This line is 7.5! Why the huge disparity?

they kill me every time in survivor pools when they play shit teams. they only time they really had their ass handed to them this year was in NO
the Giants front four is healthy and are game changers and it is nothing you can see in the stats or numbers

I agree with all that but Giants fans have been particularly level-headed over the years. They are even labeled the "intelligent/informed" fan (like Knicks fans) in comparison to Jet fans which I don't necessarily agree with.
Despite this, the hysteria occurring among the Giant fan base is particularly unusual. Even when they faced the Pats in the SB, the realistic Giant fan would say nothing more than they had a 'Punchers chance.' But the 'homerism' on this game has been unprecedented. All because they beat the Cowboys and Falcons in successive weeks? Come on. As favorites no less!

Good point. There will be no "gun-slinging" today with the media turning a blind eye to it in the post-game afterwards. Brett used to throw up some real floaters back in the day to look heroic as he was in the grasp of a defender; turning it over in prime field position too regardless of it was in the playoffs. Rodgers, hardly ever, if not never does this..

I have never seen a Giants D-Line hyped more in my life. You'd think Lawrence Taylor and Pepper Johnson were still on the team with all this hoopla!

The Giants also got their ass handed to them by the Skins twice and were not competitive in either game. I agree they are streaky. But I'll take Rodgers/a 15-1 team/and the defending champs who did this all on the road last year instead of a streaky team.
I agree about the front four not showing up in the stat sheet. But that is the primary argument the Giant backers are using to say they will get inside this number, if not win. The Giants front four can do little if Rodgers puts this team up 7-0 4 minutes into the game and Eli then has to respond before the floodgates open. Victor Cruz can only get behind the D so many times.
BTW, you should tell everyone backing the Giants here where you got +320 because that is the best I've seen, if it's still available (unlikely but even +300 is better than the +280 max that is out there now).
