u will lose this play tomorrow!!!!!!!

Not surprise from a NYG fan  I believe GB will win easily .

The NY Giants can be a very strange team at times.
They can beat New England in New England and lose at home to Seattle. They can play the undefeated packers till the last second and get blown out vs Washington.

The truth is no one knows which Giants team will show up tomorrow,

Stick your write-up up your coolie.

I had Eagles money-line at the Giants and they beat them with a back-up qb Vince Young who was not sharp at all.  yet they won straight -up so I get your drift Scab, but anything can happen and the downward drift of the pointspread must mean something...

Game planning against a ferocious front 4 is very, very difficult.  07 Patriots had already faced NYG, but still didn't know how to handle them.

Yeah, Giants are pretty schizophrenic, bu they've also beaten good teams on the road. Eli can look extremely impressive. Giants have a better running tandem w/ Jacobs and Bradshaw.

Plus, I wonder if the GB tragedy has limited their preparation during this past week.  I mean, isn't the OC a pretty major part of designing a game plan?  How the heck could he provide much work this week?

I'm not going to cap tragedy but I'd be foolish to ignore it when betting on a game this big. This happened earlier in the week and wakes/funerals have passed. The time to reflect and honor has begun. The last time we saw something like this with the Pack was on MNF in 2003 when Favre's father passed away. The next night he beat the Raiders 41-7. I won't say this factors into my bet in a big way, but I certainly think it motivates this locker room in the pre-game, and makes them play in a more spirited manner (outside of the immense talent they already have). Philbin will be at the game Sunday adding to the environment of respect and effort. Real life aside, that's a plus for the bettor. Period.

Now my last point. And this is very important.

3. The Pack have already played the Giants at their best and beat them AT the Giants....

Yes. That is true. And how do we know this? You only need to look at the Giants schedule the week before they went toe-to-toe with this team.

In week 12, the Giants were EMBARRASSED on national TV on Monday night against the Saints losing 49-24 (and it wasn't even that close with late garbage time scoring).

Well any capper worth their weight in winnings knows that when something like that occurs, you can be sure you will get a huge bounce-back performance the next week. The Giants conveniently had that chance at home. Unfortunately, it was against the league's best team. Maybe, I should say fortunately because it is the perfect motivator for a team on shaky ground looking to redeem itself. Win outright or lose a close game, if you show up you are back on track.

So what do you have? All the above with the fully-motivated Giants team facing a complacent 11-0 Packer team on ten days rest (since Thanksgiving) that dismantled a Lions team the week before everyone thought would ruin the Packers perfect run.

And who was the eventual winner in the Giants Packers game? The PACK!!! Yeah it was thrilling but here's my problem. That line was   -8 Pack going away! That would mean the line would be -14/-15 at home!! And what is the line this week in the playoffs?

-7.5!!!

Guys this is a bargain of epic proportions. All because they beat the Falcons, who are failing consistently in the playoffs, and a banged up Dallas team???

The one con:

Two weeks rest. Well after watching today's games and seeing the underdog Niners elminate the mighty Saints and their prolific offense, and the Pats destroy the Broncos, I see that the two weeks to gameplan for the playoffs is worth the fact you are taken off the field for a stretch. I trust Rodgers, who hasn't taken a game snap in 3 weeks, will pick up where he left off. (and don't forget the guy who picked it up for him backup Matt Flynn, helped the Pack beat a Detroit team playing for the playoffs in the final week. That is how good this team is). They are the defending Super Bowl Champs after all (short-term memory Giant fans forget this often as well).

It's the PLAY OF THE YEAR BOYS!

And yes, you are not a square for taking the Pack here. You will be siding with the men behind the glass in Vegas on this one. It's quite amazing and feels DAMN good to back a 15-1 team with a light line and not be following the masses.

Everybody's talkin' about the G-Men.

I'm here to tell them they will have a fat piece of duct tape over their mouths (self-applied) after 60 minutes on Sunday.

I know where my money is going:

PACKERS -7.5 OVER GIANTS

You dont think having a healthy Bradshaw, healthy Manningham, fully healthy D line, & Eli having the best year of his life...all which means they are peaking @ the right time means they wont keep it close.  Sure losing by 1 score (1 TD) can easily happen, but i beleive they can keep it close if not win...IF they continue to remain healthy and play at the high level their talents allow them to play at.

I seriously can't believe so many people have suddenly taken up the Giants, it must be the media hype over there in the US. You don't just look at their last game or 2, look at their season.

scal - good points, however this game and matchup situation is very very similar to the Pats in 07

Giants played the unbeatable, invincible team in the regular season late...came close, then beat them in the playoffs

Hey, do you know the pulse of the Ravens fans, I mean, that should tell me who I should bet on in that game, right.

scal all good points

these games are won upfront , and the giants are going to win the trenches in my opinion

bulaga holds on almost every play and it never gets called , i'm sure the giants have shown the tapes to the nfl from the last game, unless it's a total all in job by the refs , i see the giant pass rush being able to do eneough to keep them in the game

if the holding is allowed , your probably on the right side and green bay wins by dd !

on the flip side , no matter what rodgers does , you need the packer defense to create turnover in order to win

green bay's defense is swiss cheese this year. yeah they are 15-1 , but the 85 bears is not what we have here.

i can't see the packers being able to contain all 3 wideouts. manningham is the key , he did not play game 1 , he is the guy that gets the 1 on 1 and will beat anyone the packers put on him

throw in a bradshaw and jacobs who will give eli more support than grant and starks and there is no reason to think the giants won't be in this game

finally , you have a super bowl winning qb here  , super bowl mvp here , getting 7-8 points , has won on this field in a big spot already. eli over the course of his career has thrown in stinkers , i have personally seen them, but most of the stinkers have come at home in the meadowlands when his own fans got on him

i expect a big game out of eli today , and i think that bodes bad for the packers and there backers

eli can win a close game here for giant backers , or if it is a 2 td late for the packers  , he will get the backdoor in against this pourous packer d

i wish you luck scal , we were on opposite sides year ago in a meaningless nba game in philly , i was on the wizards , and the  76ers laid the hammer down late

that wizard team was a very bad team , and sometimes when you take bad teams you deserver what you get , the giant team however, is far from a bad team

i expect a big game out of eli today , and i think that bodes bad for the packers and there backers

eli can win a close game here for giant backers , or if it is a 2 td late for the packers  , he will get the backdoor in against this pourous packer d

i wish you luck scal , we were on opposite sides year ago in a meaningless nba game in philly , i was on the wizards , and the  76ers laid the hammer down late

that wizard team was a very bad team , and sometimes when you take bad teams you deserver what you get , the giant team however, is far from a bad team

And the Pack have been gameplanning to neutralize that front 4 for two weeks (who are very good btw).

Good luck.

How the hell do you gameplan against JPP,TUCK and OSI??
You can't! Maybe against 1...2 would be tough. but 3 cmon man.
Have you been listening to Green Bay radio all week?

Every team gamplans.. I'm sure Denver had a game plan today too,

BTW. Did Boley play against the pack in the reg season??

Denver had one and the Pats had a better one (and a hell of a lot more talent like the Pack have here).

Yes, Boley played.
