Many things have been written about the NFL being fixed but of course you are unaware of it. I imagine with you and your kind that ignorance is bliss. It is a sign of the times.

Once Chuck Noll accused his own team of taking a dive in a game against the Bengals. Saw this on you tube and was reported by their dynasty team free safety Mike Wagner. Money (and anything else of value) and shenanigans is as old as man himself.

Here is one my favorites from the playoffs Pitts versus Indy in January of 2006...gee, if any of you knuckleheads doubts that Polamalu intercepted this ball then there is no hope for you and further, if you can't then connect the dots that the refs did their utmost to get Peyton into the AFC championship against Denver that year then your mind is gone.

The National Football League office is unlikely to be amused by Porter's comments, but the call was an odd one. It appeared that Polamalu had intercepted the ball at midfield and fell down. As he got up and began to run, Polamalu knocked the ball out of his hands with his knee. On the field, the officials ruled the play was an interception, a fumble and a recovery -- all by Polamalu. But the Colts challenged the call, and replays seemed to be too inconclusive to overrule the call.

But the referee did overturn it, ruling it an incomplete pass. The Colts' Edgerrin James scored four plays later.

Pete Morelli is still employed after this (Polamalu interception) and countless other bogus calls in the 12 years following which speaks volumes about the (lack of) integrity of Roger Goodell and the NFL.

Using the word scripted is probably not the correct term.  Fixed?  Without question they are fixed.    

Where there's money, there's corruption.  Plain and simple.  As far as betting goes, rest assured that if a person can bet on something, there is going to be outside parties involved to either influence or decide the outcome. 

The NFL had 13 BILLION in revenue last year.  They are certainly not going to leave their business up to chance.  They control everything.  It's a business for God's sake.  Whatever they need to happen on a week to week basis, is going to happen.

The refs didn't rule it a completed pass...see you didn't even look at the video. The ruling on the field was that it was an interception, a fumble, and a fumble recovery. 

Morelli the crew chief looked at the replay and made the ruling. The much better question for you to ask is why the ruling was overturned. 

The video clearly shows Polamalu making the interception...end of story. 

Please provide a link anywhere on the internet where it has been proven a single player in nba nfl nhl or mlb has thrown a game or shaved points.

Because in the past 20years the argument of this topic is most relevant...times change...rules change...players arent snorting coke at halftime anymore, players arent getting paid peanuts anymore, sports media and journalists over the past 20 years see and report everything, not like in the past where it was the wild wild west...got it donkey?

Your summation is mistaken as my posts contained detailed proof. Maybe you should use your literacy for something more than reading tavern signs? 

There are at least 3 camps or more. Some who believe that the NFL is pure as the driven snow (you, the naive among us, and the bookmakers who profit from it), then there are some who think that games are fixed by refs (obvious), and then some who believe that games are scripted (I don't as all that is needed is one dirty ref to influence the outcome of a game)...

Art Schlichterjr is still waiting for Tiger to win another major and also for Peyton Manning to throw that opening td pass over Richard Sherman's head in the super-bowl. His namesake says it all. Art the fart was wrong then and he is wrong now.

"The definition of a catch -- or in this case an interception -- states that in the process of making the catch, a player must maintain possession of the ball after he contacts the ground," he said in a statement. "The initial call on the field was that Troy Polamalu intercepted the pass because he maintained possession of the ball after hitting the ground. The replay showed that Polamalu had rolled over and was rising to his feet when the ball came loose. He maintained possession long enough to establish a catch. Therefore, the replay review should have upheld the call on the field that it was a catch and fumble."
