i see the jets as a real threat this year. geno smith cant get any worse. he will only get better from this point on. third year is usually your best year.
picking up revis and cromartie is great for them. their D line is stacked and got better. picking up ridley is a huge bust. i see him as the starter by week 7. he is a true stud, but belichik would never start him because of his past fumbling problems.
marshall was injured all last season. atleast it felt that way. hopefully he stays healthy.
a great off season for them. i see a 10-6 or 9-7 season ahead of them.

yep i get that its landing on a key number, but i mean at -3 with better juice that line is screaming to take the Jets!! would you take Jets -3 at EVEN juice? unless the books are not worried about it and can see the game likely push or maybe even a Browns upset?

Oh i see now. books try to test Browns action baiting with the EVEN juice to get people on the Browns. the line for this game at my book jumped a full 1 point from -2 to -3 which alarmed me a bit. Was wondering if there was any kind of news that warranted a full point swing other than that Jets are obviously the better team here.

I like your thoughts. I am excited about the running game. The most important thing is to take off pressure of Geno Smith. Rex Ryan never really openend the playbook for him. Gonna be exciting what Chan Gailey will have in his playbook.

We don't even know who the starting QB for the Browns will be, do we? Right now, IMO the Jets offense is key to win that game as I can't see Johnny Manziel having a field day.

Impossible is nothing. Fitz played unter Gailey at Buffalo, yes. I think both QBs will look better than most people expect. As I said in the OP, Geno played under very tough circumstances in his first two years. He didn't fit Rex Ryans' conception of an offense.

I don't think so either. Who do the Browns have on offense that is worth mentioning? My guess would be Josh McCown, or Connor Shaw as starter

"Johnny Manziel took all the snaps with the second team at the Browns' first offseason practice on Tuesday. Manziel clearly is ahead of Thad Lewis and Connor Shaw but behind Josh McCown." - via ESPN.
The only thing I like about the Browns without going deep into analysis is their o-line when it comes to bass blocking, which was the 6th-best line in pass blocking efficiency in 2014.

Suuma....Can the Jets win the AFC next year??.....Best Defense in the NFL......I really think Ryan Fitz is gonna be the starting QB this year at some point and play decent........Pats are down, don't believe in the Colts or Broncos....really like this team this year and most importantly the Defense and win the AFC......

They can, but that would be too much of a gamble. On paper, the Jets have everything you need to make a deep run, EXCEPT a banker on the QB position:
Best CB depth in the league, top-5 pass rush, good receiving corps, solid/average o-line & a solid schedule.
Let's admit that Geno Smith or Ryan Fitzpatrick or even Bryce Petty come out as a solid QB for the Jets during the season, the Jets definitely have value. But you can't put serious money on a team with that QB situation.

His teams were INT machines, no doubt about that. But I like the combination of Chan Gailey and Geno Smith or maybe Bryce Petty along with that receiving corps. Read the following article:

The Jets had better hope the O-line can pass block if they are gonna run shot gun formations most of the time.

Regarding the post above: even Ryan Fitzpatrick will look much better if he gets the job. Look at his receiving staff at Buffalo under Gailey. In addition, he didn't have a good defense to get some shorter fields to gain confidence. That's a thing that counts for any starting QB this season.

I think the Jets have a good chance of winning both games against the Bills, as long as Rex Ryan doesn't change his attitude towards the QB significantly. Here is a passage from the FO's latest "Best Cornerback Stats 2014" :

What will any of those Buffalo QBs do, if one side is closed and they have to make quick decisions while facing one hell of a pass rush? I cannot see them having any success with their o-line. Their o-line was a mess last season and their offseason moves do not let expect some major improvements. DoubleUp may correct me if I'm wrong.
