Calbear has a very simple, low key thread. For the most part, Record, picks, GL, that's it. Also, he doesn't post on a daily basis. He's in an out. He's not exactly pushing for traffic to his threads. His style is very easy. Lastly, this dude is as consistent as they come. Hard to troll and hate on a guy when he never gives you the opportunity to...other than a loss here and there.

Bottom line is, when you are a winner, you'll get detractors...either from haters or just plain posters who don't want that kind of success to be given freely (bookies, touts, whoever). When you add that Suuma's style (extensive narrative and discussion) lends itself to intense scrutiny, that's just asking for detractors to appear.
Now I'm not advocating that he stop or somehow he's at fault for wanting to provide opinion and open up discussion, but it is what it is. Particularly since this year it seems Suuma has extreme confidence in his analysis moreso than previous years and because of that, it's easier for him to TELL people how it is versus provide an opinion to people on his POV.

That never helps...but I said that in my original response to Dogjimbo's subtle complaint about the "shiit" in Suuma's threads. He's a winner AND he doesn't help himself deflect the hate because of his post style.
In the end, I don't like to judge people. It's a free forum. His positive contributions far outweighs any perceived negativity he brings to the board. No skin of my back.
