i like my thread and i find it convenient for all to have one thread where all the picks and records are in one place. i do not congest the forum and the thread is easy to find from mobile. i know it from the user's end as it was very easy and convenient when mavin had one thread last season.
attraction? well, of course it's nice to see so many of the brotherhood of degenerates coming to visit their brother - but i also think that one who lists back can find some useful information as well as to compare trends and strategies.
the bottom line is i am intending to keep this thread all the way through super bowl and even may be the next season. who knows?

Hahaha. So awesomely Phixer. I gotta agree. I would have predicted the line would have been something like -4 for Detroit... -3 for Minnesota?! Everyones gonna be hammering the Lions. Tells ya Vikings is the pick.
I've been using this mindset a lot when evaluating NBA and NFL lately and it's been profitable... And whenever I end up rolling on the sure thing public heavy favorite, It ends up conveniently losing by half a point or so.
Happened with the Portland/La game the other night. Needed Portland -4.5 to cap off a nice sized 2- teamer. wager. I was at work and considering what I've learned and was nervous that it was such a heavy public fave. I was thinking that in Phixed fashion Portland would win but miss the spread by a point... Sure enough my suspicion was dead on...

Phix, how long did it take you to develop your philosophies with capping?
I've been wagering on NHL and MLB for 5 years but only NFL and NBA for 3... In the NBA and NFL I'd routinely see these lines that would make my eyes bulge out with excitement... Thinking that I've 1-upped Vegas... I'd then hammer the line hard and would always be outraged at my "luck" when these "sure things" inevitably lost... I'd re-evaluate my capping and would be dumbstruck on why I lost.
So, I do gotta thank you man. It's because of you why my opinion on these types of games has completely changed. Now I see a line like that and I know it's a gift and do the opposite and it hits at an epic clip.
I can only feel empathy for the poor saps who haven't been educated who are life-long gamblers who continue to go bust due to these trap, bait games... So I really am curious how long it took you in your gambling career to learn these lessons?

He learned it from MK. Trust me on that. MK was advocating that approach and calling it even a name - Da Vinchi Code and still is doing that. The Boys are 10 wins in a row with 17 units up so that says it all

How in the world are the cowtirds going to score more then 7 against philly?
Now imagine yourself how many people are asking themselves that exact question, smiling to themselves that they are the only ones who caught Vegas with the pants down and imagining to themselves vacation at the Caribbean.
This is a big boys game and that is who Phixer is - a big boy.

In Philly's away games the over is 6-1. They're not scoring all those points by themselves: they allow over 28 points a game on the road, 9th worst in league. I doubt PHI will shut out DAL.

LOL I have been following you this year and I have to say you the style was what I was aspiring to adapt to win in this game.
