Mahomes would have been practicing all week (if not for a couple of weeks) in freezing cold temperatures to get his body acclimatized to what is going to occur this week.
Why do people think he's been in doors and only on game day will he step out into the cold?
The weather will favor Patriots as it will only slow down the Chiefs offense slightly but other than that, Mahomes will ball out as he has done all year and watch him run in a touchdown or two himself.

wouldn't they be doing everything in their powers to keep them use to the cold?
Tennis players have to spend a week in blistering humid weather before coming down to Melbourne where temperatures will often stay around 30 degrees.
They tend to go all in on the sports stars today to get every little edge they can.

I have to say, this seems like the weakest cast he has to work with in a long time.
Not saying they are going to lose, but something to consider when using trends to help make up your mind when placing your bet.
Actually he makes all the players around him good no matter who they are.......that's what's scary.

Exactly! 
Brady for the most part hasn't been working with good receiving cores since Moss left. He's just that good, he's the best ever.

I just checked the average high temperature in Kansas City during January. It is just 39 degrees. I am POSITIVE that most of the KC players will manage just fine. They have adapted to cold weather by now.
Dropping the two OLD January home playoff games for KC from 2004 and 2011, they are 1-2 SU and ATS in the three recent home playoff games, one each in 2017, 2018, and 2019. They did win that game last week which featured a top-notch QB defeating another top-notch QB.
Going back to 2017 for NE, they only played one road game on grass in January, so I added December. NE was 2-3 SU and ATS on the road grass.
I don't see any decisive ACTUAL advantage for either team because of the cold weather. However, I prefer to fade what I like to call Zombie GroupThink: brain-dead sports bettors who wager on the first (and only) thing that pops into their alleged minds.
I imagine that thousands of bettors think "GOAT + cold weather = a LOCK." The NFL probably features a greater percentage of casual bettors than any other, and I don't see sportbooks being bankrupted by Joe Public motivated by ZGT.

Brady has played in only 1 game with temperature 10 f or under his QB rating was 73 his completion percentage slightly over 50%
So he played 1 more game than Mahomes and wasn't very good he was 26 years old at that time now he's going on 42
The weather has changed now they are saying 20's with practically no wind

This is why IMNSHO this game should be a "throw a few bucks for interest" as this weather and experience situation is tough to account for.
Yet so many bettors will throw 5X their average bet on this game that has no clear advantage.
Everyone is different but look at the threads concerning this game. Look at the concerns and ?s concerning this game. Are there those who think this game will be a slam dunk blowout for the team they've been backing since the line came out? Probably. Will half of them win their bets? Absolutely.
I'm not throwing hard earned money on what is in my opinion a coin toss. Maybe a small 3 team teaser NE +13, KC +7 and UN 65.5 for a half unit. That'll give me something to yell about come kick off.

So question here: Do the Chiefs ever practice outside? When kickoff approaches, will Mahomes be surprised by the cold weather?
For me, I’m going to look at this from an age perspective and how the body works when one gets older. Tom is over 40 years old. For a qb, that’s ancient. Yes, he takes very good care of his body and yes, the Patriots are a team that likes to practice in the elements. Ok.....Mahomes, in his early 20s prolly doesn’t need as much time to get warmed up and his body is most likely able to adjust to the events a bit easier considering the 15+ year age difference.
I guess my point is this.....of course data will show Brady as the more successful qb. He’s been in the league for 20 years but to think the weather is going to affect Mahomes, one of the younger players on the field Sunday....I don’t know if I’d put too much emphasis on that. It comes down to receivers catching the ball and running backs taking care of the ball. Personally, I don’t think the weather will affect Mahomes any more than Brady. I’m in my mid 30s and I can tell you, takong a hit at that age in cold weather is a lot more damaging as opposed to being in my early 20s back in the day. Point: Mahomes and Brady will get hit but if I were to bank on a player not getting up from a hit or being more banged up, obviously the guy 40+ is gonna have a bit more issues there. This is common sense. The weather will be frigid but I don’t think it gives any team that much more of an advantage. My opinion.
