Chris Collinsworth said it...where are you today...".Recent form". What does a team look like in their last 3..maybe 4 games. in my world...last 3-4 road games for the road team/ last 3-4 for the home team. 3 is ideal " Recent form "
Some on here were basing the Buffalo/Jets game on what Jets did @ home vs what Buffalo did 7 weeks ago vs NYG/Cinn etc. Its not what all these teams did in week 4, 5, 6, or what Buffalo did on the road and what Jets did @ home. Its recent form as to where they are playing
Go back to the Jets last 4 road games...this is the key. They were terrible plain and simple. Gave up 30+ to Texans...gave up 30 to the Raiders and almost lost to a 3rd string Dallas QB.
Buffalo's PA home defense in their 4 game home series @ 18 pppg vs the same type of caliber of competition that the Jets played on the road was far superior to the Jets road defense of 27pppg and it showed.
Jets were scoring 17 pure points per game on the road in their last 4 game road series and giving up 27 pppg. So where was this high powered Jets offense..it never existed.
The dynamic above home / away math model stats and the fact that Buffalo had the horses the back ups the gut and the #1 thing the man to man matchups regardless of the injuries was key. Buffalos 6-2 SU record vs Jets past 3 years wasnt to be ignored. To not miss a beat where the injuries didn't matter is fact. The Jets just dont match up well with Buffalo. The Jets 4 game road stat model vs Buffalo's Home stat model showed that history would repeat and it did.
