NE doesn't really ever lay down, or run out the clock, or let up on anyone under any circumstance. They play the game like I do when I play Madden football on PS3, they shoot to crush and embarrass their opponent and they should have easy pickens against an inconsistant Dolphins team that doesn't score very many points.
STRAIGHT BET [327] STL RAMS -3EV
If ever there was a game the NFL had an interest to fix it would be this one. Rams win they are 8-8. They lose and a 7-9 team gets a home game in the playoffs. Plus the Seahawks suck. I made a decent amount of cash fading these neon green losers.
STRAIGHT BET [332] DEN BRONCOS +155
You sold me on this one Andy. It's TeBow Time !!!!
3TM 10PTFootballTeaser [306] IND COLTS +½-115 (B+10) [315] NY GIANTS o34-110 (B+10) [317] CHI BEARS o32-110 (B+10)
Colts need to win this one and the Titans packed it in a long time ago. Think both Rex and Eli will be looking to air it up and prove something. GB will be playing with the intensity that they did last week. My least favorite pick of the tease but I can see this one a shootout like Bears/Jets last week.
BOL to all ... Week 17 always is a tough one to cap.
GL this week Remy.

I was liking Oakland thinking KC would want to rest starters, but now I see if they lose, they will get Baltimore instead of the Jets. I think they would rather play the Jets and they wouldn't want to lay down in front of all their fans who have enjoyed their turnaround. I'm off Oakland, but not ready to jump on KC just yet, but might.
GL
It's a fair point. I just think even if they don't lay down that the intensity won't match what the Raiders will bring. The Raiders have been known to lay some big time eggs though.

yo mac i was thinking rather than taking a side in the chargers / denver game i think OVER is the smartest play
from a motivational / psychological standpoint, the chargers have really nothing to play for EXCEPT Rivers whos having a great season statistically and has a chance to be passing yards leader this year which he has never done before. chargers will have an offensive game plan thats largely passing, throw in the lack of defense denver plays and this can be a 38-31 type game.
Theres also Tebow, who you know will do everything he can to end the season right and be that bright spot for the future of the broncos so he'll be making plays
the game can really go either way with Tebows determination + at home season finale + the chargers not giving a shit, regardless i think OVER 47 is the play, points points points, dont care who wins... maybe throw a a little on an over / den ML parlay for a nice payout
You've made a very strong argument for the over there. Weather looks good as well. Would lean that way myself had I not been involved in the side.
Last week I bet against the Chargers with Cincy and it was a play I liked less and less as the week went on but still not enough not to bet it, obviously it was the right side though. I'm kind of getting that eerie feeling with Denver this week. The Chargers have shit the bed basically all season so with their season done could they actually show up? In this NFL season I wouldn't be surprised. I still like Denver too much to get out though it's just that earlier in this week I liked Denver THIS MUCH, now it's just THIS MUCH.

I realize all my plays are spread out throughout the thread so if anyone is interested here's the final easy to read card:
Denver +3.5 & ML +160
Arizona +7(-120) & ML +244
Houston +2.5 & ML +115
Buffalo +1 & ML +105
Oakland +3.5 & ML +165
Carolina/Atlanta OVER 40.5
Green Bay -10 -107........continuing the rollover risking 2 to win 1.87
I clearly did not get the best of the number on that Green Bay line. Fired too early and got burnt real bad. I thought I even saw I -9.5 even today.
If anyone is wondering I would still lay the -3 with Houston. I think they whip a dead Jags team by double digits. It's been a long year in Houston, they've been out of it for quite some time so I think they'd like nothing better than to play hard in their finale and end with a win to get the bitter taste out of their mouths.
GL to the regulars and all the degenerates out there. Let's start 2011 by adding some cheese to the accounts.

GL buddy - I enjoy your writeups, they are informative and even though I don't think I've ever posted in your thread I just wanted to say thanks for the info this season and wish you luck into the playoffs.
I am happy to see that I am on the same side as a bunch of these picks...My top two games this week are the Texans and Broncos...
The Texans are the more talented bunch and I think have a bad taste in their mouth from this smoke and mirrors Jax team who beat them with that miracle hail mary earlier in the season.
The Chargers are mutts in my opinion and this is Tebow's Super Bowl as he tries to build off of the 2H he had last week. (Plus he will probably want to make Urban proud after Florida took care of business today).
One side note on the Falcons/Panthers over. I like your main reason for this play and the history behind it. Given that, I am leaning heavily towards the Falcons team total over 27.5. I would like to take the Carolina offense out of the equation especially after seeing how inept they looked against Pitt (which granted, is a much better defense than Atl, and the game is indoors).
I am also liking the 1H angle on a few games...Pitt -3 stands out to me in particular.
And last but not least I have 2 legs of a 3 team teaser open tomororw (Oklahoma -4 tonight, Colts +.5, Packers PK)
Again - best of luck tomorrow and throughout the playoffs...I will be home watching all these games on the Red Zone channel and praying that my Giants get into the playoffs

Like you im liking the Denver play less, but not enough to buy out of it.
Houston and Arizona are my favorite plays this week...Good thing I waiting on the GB line..I will probably tease it down to under 3 or hit it at -9. I'm surprised the line has gown down..if anything I thought it would go up but it seems like there's a lot of money on the Bears.

Man, we are on the same page on everything, including how we approach sports betting. Vegas knows the numbers better than anyone - we need to know the other factors. It's ALL about motivation and other human factors (fatigue, etc.)
...but the Chiefs ARE playing for something. #3 in the playoffs instead of #5, where did you see otherwise? I'll copy and paste from Bill Simmons' column...
CHIEFS (-3.5) over Raiders
At stake: The Chiefs clinch a No. 3 seed with a win (and drop to
No. 4 if they lose and Indy wins); Jamaal Charles could become the
first running back with a 6.4 yards-per-carry average and at least 200
rushes; the Raiders could become the first team to win every division
game but fail to make the playoffs in 40 years; and the Raiders could
finish 8-8 for the first time since Al Davis was alive.
Why you should pick the Chiefs:
Wouldn't you rather play the Jets (home) and Steelers (road) than the
Ravens (home) and Patriots (road) in Rounds 1 and 2? Of course you
would. I would be shocked if the Chiefs didn't go all out in this game.
Enduring lesson from 2010:
This game features a top-10 fantasy QB (Matt Cassel), two of the top-5
fantasy running backs (Jamaal Charles and Darren McFadden) and the best
fantasy receiver (Dwayne Bowe), proving yet again that FANTASY FOOTBALL
IS A COMPLETE F------ CRAPSHOOT AND WE ARE IDIOTS FOR DOING FOUR WEEKS
OF MOCK DRAFTS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE F--- IS GOING TO HAPPEN
BECAUSE THERE IS NO F------ WAY TO KNOW!!!!!! Sorry.
The only thing that sounds wrong to me is Darren McFadden playing... I'm hoping he'll sit, he's listed as questionable.
Chiefs for me, I love the rest. Way to hit those ML dogs, I don't know how anyone profits in sports without ML dogs.

That said, I do fear a Chiefs win by 1, 2, or 3... as much as I usually avoid juice at all costs, I'm laying the heavy lumber @ -175 Hope you're way wrong on this one, because I drastically over-bet it

Somehow I doubt this hits 3. Good spot for the Texans to get a win to close out a bad year. Lots of talk about Texan fans holding a rally calling for Kubiak's firing. Pretty embarrassing stuff right there. I've read a lot about the Texans this year as I've been involved in lots of their games and I haven't really seen an overwhelming amount of evidence to suggest that the players hate Kubiak. Their problem has been poor defensive execution and quite frankly a group on defense that simply isn't good enough. Those tough losses added up late in the year and they did mail a couple in but here in their finale at home against a division rival I kind of get the feeling they may rally around Kubiak and stick up for him. He'll probably be fired but at least they can send him out with a little dignity left.
Jacksonville sucks. Their defense is just as bad if not worse than Houston's. I wouldn't trust these guys as a road fav over the Akron Zips.
Akron Zips I attended for a semester, great campus!! Shitty football You should see the facilities for athletes there... WORLD CLASS.... but they still suck shit. Anyway....
Here's another angle that I like in the Houston game (we all know the NFL can be fishy).
Who would the NFL and CBS rather air in the playoffs..... Peyton Manning's Colts, or David Garrard's Jags. If you say Jags, you can get the fuck out.

If San Diego 'showed up' half as often as they 'mail it in' they would be in good shape right now. They are the best team in the league when it comes to throwing their potential out the window by having no focus whatsoever for the first 6 weeks. Blame it on the San Diego weather if you must, but these guys are great at not giving a shit. Why should it change now?

Man, Oakland up to 5.5 now. I do get the feeling KC will try and blow them out- yet if Croyle comes in and it's not too out of hand Oak would look good. Hmmm.

Or not. Croyle is inactive and 3rd string. Palko will backup. Who is Buff's starting QB ?
