Sometimes things are too good to be true and sometimes they do come true...I think the books get crushed with the Ravens this weekend.  The Ravens struggles have been due to the inability to defend the pass....good news for them....Carolina is the worst passing team in the league.  And now, with both first and second string QB's out, they rely on a career long practice squad QB to try and win this game.  On top of this, they will be without Stewart and Williams is out for the year.  The Carolina defense which overall has been doing a good job has regressed of late.  And I don't blame them.  They "long" season is already taking a toll on them as their offense is one of the worst at TOP.  That defense is out there more than the offense.  As the defense gets weaker the Panthers have less and less of chance at winning because that offense is the worst in football. Carolina is also just 2-7 ATS and of their 8 losses, 7 have been DD.

Like the GMen as well hoping for 3.5 as well or might just take ML.  waiting for the public to hammer Vick.  we'll see how the other Sunday plays work out.

     lean to Broncos though bc hard to back the Bolts if Gates doesn't play Mathews is a question mark.   i know Floyd and Legedu should play  The guy who wrote Vincent Jackson is going to play is dead wrong!    Kaeding is back as well.   The over does look inviting but may just pass on the game

Calbear-

I had the initial reaction on the GMen/exaxtly as you wrote up. I sat down and looked up :

1)  Eagles with Reid after MNF

2) Giants after Big loss  (I used a loss as minus 7  or more favorite)

NYG #1 defense on a yard basis per game and the Skins are dead last at 30 but the other angles may not apply.

Very interesting was the game last year when the Giants were upset as 7 point favorites in early November and then travelled to Philly the following week................
