Agree...Bellichek won't go with a rookie...He has maybe 2 years left coaching....he is not about rebuilding...he is reloading for one last run...Rookie QB too much ups and downs...
If all the QBs making noise now are still on their teams come draft day, and looking down the draft order to #15 where the Pats are...
I'm thinking Jax and Miami are the only teams that really need to draft a QB before Coach Hoodie (and Miami could roll with Tua next season).
So many really good WRs, edge guys, O and D linemen, and DBs that it's tough to see JETS(2), ATL(4), PHI(6), or DEN(9) taking a QB before NE.
Those 4 teams can stick with their current QBs, though Matt Ryan is getting up there and maybe ATL wants to "groom" a replacement, as they say.
If Darnold(2) and/or Bridgewater(8) gets moved soon, then we'll know the NYJ are gonna be all in on taking a QB, and the Jets would probably wait til the draft to grab their QB before moving Darnold. Thinking new HC Saleh wants a WR and some D help, and would roll the dice with Darnold next season.
Unless the Texans can get McCaffrey plus draft picks for Watson, can't see HOU moving Watson there, and can't see Watson sitting out a year...just not his nature...he wants to compete.
Everybody's on the clock now lol...
@sundance
Appreciate the post, bud. Definitely the most compelling issue so far of the off-season.
Coach Hoodie needs a new QB...Cam ain't the answer even if we knew what the question is...
And the HC Goat sees the window closing on his chance to return to glory. Too bad he never gave a crap about the O.
Can't say I feel sorry...he had a great run with that 6th rounder under center.
