Let's talk Cowboys @ Giants.

Plisskin76…Giants did get a 100 on the ground the last five games, but that wasn’t against this team.

Martellus Bennett, Kyle Kosier, Alan Ball, Abram Elam, Terence Newman, Brady James, Keith Brooking, Igor Olshansky, and Bryan McCann are all gone now, thank god because they really fucking sucked. Those are the players that “Experts” said… looked good on paper!

Cowboys4949… Justin Tuck says “Dallas will see real NFL stars Wednesday night.” Trust me, Eli will see plenty of shiny blue stars Wednesday night. It’s going to be funny when the Giants offense gets introduced to the new vamped defense. The offensive line scares me, but Romo is ranked the number 1 QB in the NFL against the blitz, so Romo should be able to get the job done, if the weather lets him.

Dallas will have the best and fastest defense they’ve ever had in 17 years on the field and the weather will slow them down. Dallas has an arena style team and the Giants are a grind it out team, so they clearly have home field advantage. If the game were played in Dallas, they would be favs. The wind, rain, and the footing are what scare the shit out of me, not the Giants.

This alone may make me take the Cowboys and the fact that your location is New Jersey.

There is no way the giants lose this game against dallas. especially coming off a super bowl win. Expect a close game 17-10 Giants

Giants win by 3, covering the moneyline but not the spread. An ideal start to the season for the oddsmakers.

My apologies. I was wrong. I had a different  scenario in mind and my bad. I am usually very careful in researching my shit before I post it but in thi case I didn't being so certain and I was in err.

 

That being said I still like DAL +4 in season opener.

I'm not a cowboy fan and made money off the giants late in the season last year...but cowboys will be healthy and demarco Murray will make romos job a lot easier...Cowboys outright!!!

I don't see the weather being a huge factor.  slight winds, 60% chance for a thunderstorm.  sure there may be some rain but not much.

The Giants will be lucky to win 6 games this year and will be fighting to stay out of dead last in the east. Romo’s always has a shitty line, where the fuck have you been the last 5 years? Still, Romo is ranked the number 1 QB in the NFL against the blitz, number 2 in NFL history in QBR, and number 1 in the 4th quarter.

Romo only threw 10 interceptions last year, Brady and Eli threw more, and Romo beat Eli’s team and Brady’s team last season, but the defense choked away both leads. I’m sick of that stupid rumor. No one in the media mentions all of the NFL statistics Romo has and always highlights 3 stupid plays on repeat. You tell a lie enough times it becomes a fact because of ESPN and the NFL network.

Austin said he lost it in the lights and was running with a pulled hamstring, so your viewpoint is fucking dead wrong. Romo made the pass and Austin couldn’t make the play. Dez is in the elite WR category (off the field issues don’t matter on the field, you know who the fuck the playmaker is?) and Austin is another number 1 WR when healthy, so the Giants have a number 1 and number 2, so Dallas takes the edge.

Edge on TE’s goes to Dallas, when healthy. Dallas also has better depth at the TE position. Bradshaw averages 7 yards a rush and Wilson is a rookie, who knows what he will do in this league? Murray averages 5 yards a rush and Jones averages 5 yards a rush and 6 yards a rush over his career. Yeah, 5 yards a rush and 6 yards a rush over his career is a bust. The edge goes to Dallas.

Dallas will have a depth on defense that will finish in the top 10 and the Giants only have a front four, so edge goes to Dallas this year. Romo smokes Eli in every single statistical category. The ONLY reason Eli has rings is that he had the number 1 offensive line to protect him, a hall of fame coach, and a defense.

If you actually followed the game you would know that Romo gets his team a lead every week and his kicker chokes or the defense chokes the game away. Dallas is 2 Guards and a Center away from being a title contender. If you were a real fan, you would know that shit. Dallas has sucked for 17 years and is finally going in the right direction.

Of course, Reid, Coughlin, and Shanahan are better coaches… they’re veteran dinosaurs. The E-A-G-L-E-S are the best team in the east, so I’m smart enough to recognize that even though I’m a Cowboys homer. The Giants are on the decline and the Cowboys and Redskins are on the rise with the Eagles sitting on top the east.

Budwiser… it matters a hell of a lot to me because I know Dallas is a warm weather, dome style offense and built the defense based on speed. Dallas can’t fling it all over the field in bad weather and can’t use speed with the wind in your face on a slick surface. All I’m saying is that those of you who think this is the same cowboys team from last year are wrong.

I’m not saying bet Dallas, I’m just saying you will be surprised how much different they will look on the field. If Dallas loses this game, Dallas will blow’em out in Texas, if they are at full strength.

I like Dallas plus the points. And I heard Witten might play. Even without him I see this as a FG game either way. Dallas defense will be good this year and should hold the Giants a couple times in the red zone when needed. 23-20 someone wins

MoneySRH I respect your opinion, but you sound like every other cowboys fan I talk to......you can throw all the stats in the world out there, when it comes to crunch time Tony person is horrible. With all those stats, you forgot to mention how playoff wins does he have? How many game costing bad decisions has he made? Brett Favre has all the stats too, but one that could be the most important....most career int's is often forgotten.

And if Romo and the offense did build a lead, is it all on the defense to sustain it? the offense still needs to maintain drives and score points in the 4th qtr for the team to win.

And again, Romo probably does lead Eli in stats, but what does that mean? If you are that much into individual stats you should draft person with your first round fantasy pick....Eli has 2 rings, both of them due to quite a few great decisions and throws by Eli (in the playoffs and superbowl when it really matters, not in a season opener or meaningless regular season game)

If you cant tell by now I really dont like the cowboys, but i try be objective as far as betting goes, I look at players and matchups, and I just dont see the giants losing here.....it will be a close game but person will make one of his favre like mistakes towards the end of the game and the giants will cover

LMAO i just caught this, if he is so great in the 4th qtr why cant he maintain the lead? Even if the defense gives up a TD, his stats say is so great in the 4th qtr that it should be no problem for him to drive down and get that TD right back.....

Bottom line is, stats dont mean shit, favre has all the stats in the world, but does that make him a better qb than Joe Montana?

Farve would of had a few more super bowls if he was the quarter back on those niners teams that Joe played on.  I don't see how you are comparing Tony Romo to Farve.  The comparison doesn't fit at all imo.

Buy a pt and you have the Giants -3 they should win by at least that IMO. Just can't see this Giants team which has felt disrespected getting beat by the Cowboys. I feel the Giants are the much superior team but as we know they can be inconsistent so buy the pt just in case.

WTF? Are u saying favre in his prime was a better qb than montana in his prime? Because it sounds like that what you're sayin and that is COMPLETE BULLSHIT...montana made decisions and throws that helped his team win games and multiple super bowls, favre made decisions and throws that cost his teams games(the one that sticks out the most being the throw he made as a viking in the playoffs back across the field costing his team the season when they were already almost in field goal range to win the game)......

And yes favre and romo are very similar.......both have the "gunslinger" mentality, both like to take chances that cost their teams games, and most importantly, both are very selfish.......montana, brady, both mannings are real QB's that lead their team to victories, both regular reason and when it counts

Ok Favre wasn't Mr. Perfect at QB. But Favre in his prime was light years better than Tony Romo and has a super bowl ring to prove it. Interceptions or not Favre is one of the greatest QB's of all time.

And Peyton Manning did throw an INT in the Super Bowl that cost his team the game

Agreed, but thats pretty much the one and only mistake peyton has made in the postseason. Point being, as a bettor you just cant trust a player like romo or favre, theres always a chance they could make that crucial mistake that cost you.
