People do not realize that Jason Garrett and Rob Ryan have secretly built one of the best defenses in the off-season that’s going to be the best defense Dallas has had in 17 long years and is going to be a top 10-monster defense this season.

That’s why I’m betting on them for the first time in my life. If Dallas was at “full strength” and the game was in doors, in Cowboys stadium, I would be bold enough to say this would be an embarrassing rout, but it’s not, so I’m cautiously optimistic about my bet.

The rain and wind is going to level the playing field and is going to slow down the offense and defense and will make footing suck. Fuckin sucks man, if it wasn’t for that bullshit, I would be confident as hell right now in my bets.

Before Pre season started cowboys looked like the play. while their

defense looks to be much improved their offense looks too banged up

on the road and the line moved from 3 to 3.5 to 4 think the giants win

at home by a td.

I wonder what the +7 would be.  I'd love to take Boys +7, but too much chalk for sure.

Reason being these teams met twice last year, same qbs, same coaches, many of the same players.  It's a divisional matchup, and with the Giants being Super Bowl Champions and having gone on a huge winning streak, you know the point total is just a liiitle too much on the Giants IMO.

These kind of divisional matchups are played close...no matter what.

Romo won't have his security blanket, Written. When he feels the pressure, where is the ball going? Ask Rogers and Brady about pressure. JPP is going to lead the NFL in sacks this year (3 sacks this game).

The one thing Dallas has never had and that is discipline, what has changed? When Cruz and Nicks start to mix it up, watch the finger pointing in the Dallas backfield. Watch the Dallas "D" jump off sides, i say 5 times, no discipline.

Every year it's the same thing, Dallas has so much talent on paper which translates into 1 playoff win in 15 years, or is it 16?

Giants win this easy and if Witten plays, he's done for the year.

Yes Dallas has an improved defense but is the nyg defense chop liver? People forget that the Giants have the best d-line in the NFL.

If you're arguing the Cowboys will be playing against the disrespect card I think you don't know anything about football, point blank. The New York Tebows have dominated football coverage here in the NY area, every big Giant interview this preseason (which has been few and far between because of the thin coverage) has had a question about the Jets. It's perfect for them, all of a sudden they go from defending champs to a team that actually has a chip on their shoulder in Week 1. Scandrick having to play heavy duty because of Jenkins' injury is bad news for the Cowboys, the back of his jersey should read "TD'S HERE COME ALL" On the other side the rookie will need some time, covering Cruz/Nicks week 1 on the road is too much of a crash course. Also, the champs don't lose this game ever over the years. I HATE laying more than 3 ever in the NFC East, but I think this warrants it. 

First of all guys, Dallas has NEVER looked good on paper or on the field in the last 17 years, so whoever said they had talent on paper was a fucking dumbass. This is the first legit team and defense Dallas has ever had in 17 years, period!

They’re not a title contender this year, I know that, but they are a playoff team for the first time in 17 years. Next year, Garret and Callahan will have the offensive line fixed in the off-season and the defense will be a monster veteran one.

The Giants have a good defense, I will admit that, but if they’re so damn good, why does Romo average 29 points a game against them with a shitty team? Let that bounce around in your head for a second. I’ve been watching Dallas practice and you are going to be shocked at the defense Dallas will have on the field.

Witten is no longer Romo’s favorite target… its Dez now. Dez and Romo have been working hard during practice. The hardest I’ve ever seen Dez work. People are calling Carr the blanket because he’s never out of position and gives no up no separation.

Claiborne has been going one on one with Dez in every practice. Them two have been battling it on the field hard. If he can hang with Dez, he can hang with anyone in the league. This is not the same old choking defense from last season. Dallas has 16 players on the defensive side of the ball that can play solid D now.

If it wasn’t for the shitty NJ weather in the forecast, I would guarantee a victory, but it’s not, so I have no idea what kind of bullshit to expect. Dallas is a dome team and the Giants are an outdoors team, so they have a home field advantage going into this one because of the weather.

First time they played last yr was maybe the best game of the season last yr..such a fine line..that game is when I finally considered Eli an elite qb..sux Whitten isnt playing..Gmen dLINE is on fire right now and @home..many other games to play..

First of all if you cant spell Witten right you dont need to EVER say anything. Bottom Line is if the cowboys can protect Romo they will win(thats a big task) and also for the person saying that scandrick playing heavy time will kill the cowboys your sir are an idiot, scandrick is the nickle corner and will be guarding the likes of hixon, pretty sure he can guard him, i mean the guy started quite a few game for us last year while jenkins was hurt and actually did well. Claiborne will have his break-in time but the kid is very good right now. I dont see the Giants offense scaring me its that D Line that scares me if we can block their secondary is garbage filled with backups

since i have been playing the defending superbowl champs game 1 the next season(all ats) i have lost once in like six or seven years, that trend is a loser xfirejects. not so sure this year though
